Considering that being fouled on three point attempts is much less frequent than in the paint 2 point attempts - then the fact that we took 18 more shots from 3 point land certainly didn't help to get us to the foul line.
High volume shooting from outside the line can create a major deficit at the foul line

you are right on the money again.

It is easy to forget about FT when you launch 44 three point shots. Sure is hard to pick up fouls if you do not drive to the rim.

When one factors in the loss of free throws attendant to 3 point shooting rather than attempts from driving to the hoop, there's less of an advantage to shooting three's than is commonly thought.
