This is the 2nd time the Lakers have been fined for tampering because of something Magic Johnson said.  You're not a player anymore, Magic, you have to play by different rules now.

I read the comments and do not think it was tampering.

The kid is under contract through the 2020-21 season. It is not like he enticed him because he would be a FA.

GM's comment about players on other teams all the time.

There's no way it's even close to tampering.

If the NBA keeps this up, they're going to be like the NFL/No Fun League was until this past year.

Team officials do this all the time. This does not even come close to tampering. And as DBoss stated, this is not a contract year for Giannis.
