Also of note last week planned trip to see Marcus in Boston got snowed out......we got 30 inches of snow. Now the plan is to head out Wednesday go to the C’s game and attend the BC game on Thursday then head home Friday. Haven’t seen much of him lately. Gonna be good to see him and I’m sure we can root the Celts t a win!

Re: Change of pace from the blues.....pick your best Celtic team from this list
3 Robert Parish
4 Kevin McHale
5 Larry Bird
2 Rajon Rondo
1 Danny Ainge
Okay, I kept the big three together, but it cost me some perimeter defense without DJ.
4 Dave Cowens
1 Cedric Maxwell
4 John Havlicek
3 Dennis Johnson
3 Jo Jo White
Okay, I kept some of the 70's guys together, this one can defend.
5 Bill Russell
3 Tommy Heinsohn
2 Reggie Lewis
1 KC Jones
4 Kyrie Irving
Between Tommy and Kyrie, there's no shots left for the rest.
This is not as easy as you'd think.

Re: Change of pace from the blues.....pick your best Celtic team from this list
This is how I ended up with my team:
Rondo is good value - 2
Bird has to be on it - 5
I'll take younger Pierce who played shooting guard - 3
Parish is good value for center - 3
I just need a power forward for two points and that's Al Horford.
You could sub Isaiah for Rondo for even greater offense. They cost the same points.

5-Perkins
4- Mister William F. Russell
3- Bird
2- DJ
1- Ainge
This isn't a high scoring team.
Reasoning:
Russell: The only reason I would not ever take Russell first in a pickup game is if God has joined the game.... even then...
Larry Bird: Almost no one did so much as well. Like Russell, Bird was playing chess when everyone else was playing checkers on the court.
DJ: I wanted defense and with DJ you get that and more.
Danny Ainge: Between Russell and DJ's elite defense, and Birds trash talking- then backing his $h!t up all the way back to main street, adding Danny to the mix is just going to irritate the hell out of other teams. Folks are eventually in a 7 game series just going to get frustrated and p!$$ed off. oh and the kid could ball too.
Perkins: Good to have around once the other teams players get p!$$ed off. Not that any of the other four would back down, but its nice to have an enforcer around.
As I said, not a high scoring team, but they wont need to either.

Russ and Perk would need a running attack to squeeze some points out of them. Add Isaiah, Reggie Lewis and Bird.

Well....we all know who I start with:
Russell
Havlicek
Bird
Sam Jones
Kyrie Irving
This is tough. Leaving KG off is tough for me, and likewise, McHale. They were the best forwards of their generation.
But Hondo spanned a couple of generations, he was here for the Russell era, and then around for the Cowens era. He is my
favorite all time Celtic (Putting Russ high on the mountain top alone). Guards were hard to pick, I know I am old enough to have watched Cousy and he was great, but I enjoyed every second we had Reggie and am totally taken with Kyrie and his game.
We are very fortunate, when we look down the list of players who have played for the Celtics we should smile and say WOW, they were all Celtics????

You exceeded the rules of 15 points by a bit.
I know it’s hard. I hated to not choose Hondo.

Russell
Sam Jones
Havlicek
Bird
Irving
I was going to go with McHale but John John had better stats. Anybody that does not have Big Bill Russell on the list never saw him play. His average of over 20 rebounds per game was pretty amazing.
I took Havlicek over Pierce because Havlicek average more points, rebounds and assists.
Bird is a lock and Irving is the best offensive PG that Boston has ever had.
Too bad we did not have Reggie Lewis on the pick list.
We could easily put together a second team that would be just as good.

I saw Russell and did not pick him for this.
And look again Lewis is listed.
Plus you far exceeded the allowed 15 points.

Dboss I did the same thing, went over hoping no one would catch me but the quick eyed Beat did!!! I could not not pick Russell though. So I went all defense, the heck with points, they won't need them with my guys, they won't let anyone score!!!

You can only pick 5 players with total point value of 15. You went way over.
I’m sure we’d all like to pick favorites but in this case almost impossible.

Wonder if I was to pick a player that isn’t listed I could use the point(s) on someone else?
I’d put Archibald on here ahead of Ainge and Thomas
