good game fellas....
you guys are the better team; and its not even close. C's are back to playing championship ball. you played hard to take us out; we played hard to stay alive. Can't win when playing with that mindset.
I apologize for calling anyone crazy if they thought this would be over in 5 games. Seeing how we're playing, sweep is very likely. Its killing me to admit this, but I'm a realist.
Pierce is playing with straight revenge on his mind and your players have all stepped up when needed.

Hey Nyce-
you're a class act for that post.
And I could tell from your previous posts that you know the game and are a good guy who would fit in well around here.
As one of two resident Laker fans on the board, I hope you stick around once this series is over. There is a lot of good hoop that gets discussed on this board.

thanks podna. it was close. You guys showed a ton of heart. I think even though he scored yall posted howard too much the ball wasnt swinging inside out just inside and when you guys go inside out your brutal.
Great effort and heart on both sides.

Thanks Baby-Kareem, I'll try to stick around. its nyce to come into a forum where one fanbase isn't about to jump off a bridge, and the other isn't throwing flames. But as you can see, I'll take the heat when i have to.
@ jeb,
yeah we played hard and showed heart, but the ECF isn't the time for moral victories. Guys missing defensive assignments, bad shot selection, missing key FTs, and not following the gameplan out of timeouts, are things championship teams don't do. As far as the inside-out game, its only effective when the other team doubles. Perk, Sheed, KG, and even Davis, ALLLL, defended Dwight 1-on-1, allowing your defense to stay strong by not leaving shooters open. And one thing I've hated with Dwight for the last 3 yrs, once he puts his head down and goes into his "post moves", he can never adjust and pass out, mid-move. If he learned how to pass on the fly, he'd be equipt to handle the late swarms.
Rondo stepped up huge when Ray was ineffective.
I'll comment more on the game in the morning when my anger is gone and I'm more clear-headed to actually dissect it.

true about the doubles...a problem for you guys. See you around in the am. Glad to have you here.
That baseline jumper from Rondo was the death knell. He would have never taken that in 08...he would have in 09 but he would never have made it.

Nyce,
As classy as you are for posting here regardless of game results, I'm certain you're also exactly the kind of no-quit fan the Magic needs right now.
Please add my name to the many who hope you'll stick around whenever it's convenient for you because your sense of camaraderie and your knowledge of the game are both greatly appreciated.

Nyce,
I am surprised as you, at the outcome of game 2. I know how tough it must have been to watch for you. I applaud you coming here and posting so soon after the game.
You are a class act & a true fan of the game. I too, hope you stay on this board.

I thought we'd win in 6,didn't expect to be up 2-0,I was shooting for a split. We still haven't played very good to great yet.KG has made Lewis virtually disappear!!Last year he was posting Baby and shooting over him.Ray wasn't there offensively at all and KG had a huge turnaround jump shot over Howard, but wasn't hitting anything for long stretches,we can still bring it up another notch.

Re: good game fellas....
Cow, I think KG is playing good defense. But I suspect it's Doc's mandate that they all play single coverage that's hampering Lewis and holding down the Magic's three-point production in general. The Magic depend a lot on the inside-out game. In the absence of that, they need a really great ball distributor to seek guys out. And it seems to me that Jameer has focused more on generating points than on creating offense for his mates. I think a PG's #1 duty is to distribute the ball because, in that way, he's enabling four teammates, which is more productive in the long run than simply scoring himself.

Re: good game fellas....
Nyce and others,
I am far from thinking this is over or in the bag. Orlando is too strong and deep for that to enter my thinking.
However, I am finding that it's great to have friendly rivals here like Nyce, Skyhook and MG. If I'm forgetting others I apologize for the oversight. Nothing wrong with a little rivalry and good natured give-and-take.
I hope that all these posters continue to add the depth, knowledge and class to our little green board that they've already displayed. You gentlemen are adding to the appeal of this group and helping make this a unique place to not only discuss one team, but to enjoy the game overall.
My hope is that all of us from the Boston camp show the same respect back to you at those times you take the W. Although we may, of course, want to grumble just a little about the refs, Stern or whatever unjust curse was placed on us when we lose one!
Regards

Re: good game fellas....
Nyce this sereis is far from over. Both games were winnable by the Magic.
I am predicting that the Magic take game 3 in Boston. Lewis and barnes and Pietrus have yet to have a good game and I think they are due. Plus jameer had a sub par game 2 and he usually comes back strong the next game.
The Celtics are a bit over confident right now and could easily drop the game on Saturday.
I would be surprised if Boston goes up 3-0. The Magic are due to shoot the lights out before this series is in the books.
