Monroe at Toronto

Just some clean up on players here last year:

I am not surprised that Monroe found an NBA spot as he still has some decent around-the-basket skills and was a professional in handling reduced minutes while in Boston.

He kind of is what he is, however, and may never play good enough defense for clutch time on a good team with the NBA having moved to a more spread out type of play.

Monroe has earned 74 million dollars in his career. I think he will be just fine.

I don't that signing, coming on top of Kawhi joining that front line. I can understand why Brad couldn't play the slow-footed Monroe, but he may help Toronto in the middle against undersized teams. Let's hope Williams is a quick study. Hurry up pre-season! Hawk

His defense may not have been up to Celtic standards but I was impressed by the fact he came in and did exactly what he is billed for, get baskets around the rim. Sorry to see him go to Toronto because he did what he does well not only for the Cs but against them as well.
