According Jay King of The Athletic, the Boston Celtics will work out guard Marcus Georges-Hunt on Tuesday in Boston. The 6-5 guard participated in the team’s 2016 training camp before spending the season with the Maine Red Claws. This news comes following the arrest of Jabari Bird this weekend for an alleged domestic violence incident.
Georges-Hunt appeared in 42 games last season for the Minnesota Timberwolves, averaging 1.4 points per game, while 43.8% from the field. Georges-Hunt has been productive during his time in the G-League, posting a line of 16.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game in 46 total contests. The Georgia Tech product averaged 15.8 points for the Red Claws during the 2016-17 season.
The Celtics have a full 15-man roster at the moment, however Bird’s situation remains unclear as he is still being held at a local hospital. Upon release, he will be booked and arraigned at Brighton Municipal Court.

MY NOTE: Sounds like Danny is not seeing/liking with Jabari Bird and is lining up his ducks to move on.

This guy seems like a decent enough replacement for Bird if he can no longer play.
