Cooz lived one block from me in Worcester, and his daughter Patty went to school with my sister. I met her at my sister's birthday party 15 years ago and almost asked her out.
Guess the title of my book could be, "The Pass Never Made."

Growing up my folks didn't watch sports much, and my initial introductions to the Celtics were at my grandfathers house watching the C's play and him talking about the greats- Russel, Cooz, Cowens, Hondo ect..

So my initial interest was as much about Bird and McHale and Parish, the guys I was seeing on T.V. as about the guys from "the good old days", that's never changed, Being a Celtics fan has always been as much about the history of the team, and the people involved in that history, as it is the game on at the moment.

Of course, there's one other important component to being a Celtics fan, one that's just as important as everything mentioned above- fellow Celtics fans. The best d@mn fans anywhere!

I think it’s pretty simple, yet complex. The Cooz wishes back in the day he gave more support to the causes that the great Bill Russell stood up for and even back in the day the Cooz was on Russell’s side on those issues, he was just too self absorbed in life that he didn’t make a stronger commitment back then and NOW he regrets it.

Cowens, I just read a study of IQ levels country by country around the world. Singapore and China ranked tops. You never looked dumb.
