Because he only gets spotty minutes we do not get to see all sides. Brad coaches him and knows better than any of us about his upside.

At the same time keeping him under contract does provide a better option to include him in the trade.

The thing is I just do not see Boston in any great need to upgrade their roster.

I for one am glad that they picked up his option.

Absolutely! I will do that if the Celtics trade him, if he fails to produce in the time he plays, if he becomes a negative in any way, I will apologise. OTOH, if he does play better and show improvement, or if he carves out a meaningful role due to injury or just plain good play, I expect nothing from you. I know when I start seeing kind posts based on his play and skill set, that you have changed your mind. Fair enuf?
