You're absolutely right. Brain cramp. I actually like the 2-3-2 format for us. It's not bad having three of the first five games at home being the team without homecourt advantage.

Can't believe Paul Pierce actually out-rebounded Dwight Howard tonight.

And Doc had a great line tonight. In a post-game interview he said "This starting five has never lost a series."
May that continue for one more.

Re: TONIGHT WAS NEVER IN DOUBT CELTIC "D" PARTY!!!!!!!
I had serious doubts about the Celtics being able to pull this game out based on the physical ailments of certain key players and the apparent shift in momentum in favor of the Magic. I have no idea how much is left in the tank for the next series or how quickly Rondo, Wallace, Davis & Daniels will be able to recover from injury. Nate Robinson was huge in the 2 nd quarter and Pierece & Ray came through in the second half. I was glad to be wrong about what I thought was going to happen and gladly accept all the "I Told You So's" aimed in my direction-MD.

Re: TONIGHT WAS NEVER IN DOUBT CELTIC "D" PARTY!!!!!!!
MD,
"I Told You So's" are for children. What's important is learning the virtue of the ultimate leap of faith. At some point, either one jumps without reservation from a world of equivocation onto a vessel that may be beset with obstacles... and says, "I'm all in, sink or swim"...or (s)he doesn't. It really is as simple and binary as that. It's precisely what coaches and players have to do; and I've never been shown why it should be any different for fans.
And, when someone has embraced that leap of faith, the focus on the goal is so intense that there's not an inch of room for equivocation or predictions or anything other than concentration on achieving that goal.
Perhaps the essence of the head/heart thing you talked about yesterday is that the head can win individual quarters or even individual games. The heart can win championships. At some point in a championship quest, a "whatever it takes" mentality is likely to override rationality.
The "head" didn't foresee Mighty Mouse's point-a-minute, pivotal role last night. There was no equivocation on Nate's part. He believed in himself, and that belief had been fortified by Doc's frequently expressed belief in Nate. So Nate did what came naturally, he played it straight from the heart, and both he and the game are now part of Celtics lore.
Never was the suspension of disbelief more appropriate than when entering an NBA finals.
Whatever it takes! Go Celtics!
