Celtics shooting guard Jabari Bird appeared for a pretrial hearing Tuesday morning at Brighton Municipal Court.
The session was brief and administrative, with Bird’s next court date scheduled for Jan. 30. Among those alongside Bird were his attorney, Brian Kelly, and Jaylen Brown’s mother, Mechalle, who is responsible for supervising the 24-year-old as part of the conditions of his release.
Bird — who was arrested and arraigned in September for a domestic incident in which he allegedly assaulted, choked, and kidnapped a person with whom he had a romantic relationship — is being charged with assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, strangulation, and kidnapping.

For those wondering, Jabari Bird’s next court date is now scheduled for September 6th. Was pushed to today back in May and will now continue in September, per the Suffolk County DA.

I thought his rights were traded to Atlanta in the spring.

His rights were traded. I think it was just a salary cap thing for the Hawks, Rosalie. Does Javonte Green's game remind anyone else of Bird's?
