Gordon Hayward couldn't have picked a better night to let his play do the talking.

The Celtics forward was a one-man spark plug Tuesday at Oracle Arena, dropping a game-high 30 points on 12-of-16 shooting in Boston's 128-95 rout of the Golden State Warriors.

If you'll recall, an anonymous player on those same Warriors called Hayward a "liability on both ends of the court" after Golden State beat the Celtics at TD Garden back in January.

Even if it was just one game, Hayward made that Dubs player eat crow Tuesday night. And if that wasn't enough, his teammate twisted the knife a bit following the game.

"Who was it (that made that comment)?" Brown asked.

When told the player was anonymous, Brown responded calmly, "Well, there you have it."

As for Hayward himself? The veteran forward declined to take the vindictive route, insisting he's just trying to use Tuesday as a building block in his steady improvement.

"I understand it's one game," Hayward said, via ESPN.com. "You are going to have ups and downs in the season. I'll try to build off the things I did correctly tonight, and the next time you have a bad game, try to learn from that one."
