Suns' Josh Jackson Charged With Felony Escape, Resisting Arrest at Rolling Loud Music Festival
By KHADRICE ROLLINS May 13, 2019
Suns forward Josh Jackson was arrested on Friday while attending the Rolling Loud music festival in Florida and charged with felony escape and resisting arrest, according to Duane Rankin of the Arizona Republic.
The team said in a statement it is "aware of the report and in the process of gathering more information." Jackson's resisting arrest charge is a misdemeanor. This all stems from Jackson trying to enter the VIP section of the music festival without having the proper pass.
The No. 4 pick from the 2017 draft was told "multiple" times he couldn't enter the area without the proper pass but continued to try to enter anyway. An officer handcuffed Jackson and took him away from the crowd, but Jackson tried to run away after the officer sat him down on a golf cart.
Jackson posted a $1,000 bond and his court hearing is scheduled for June 10.
In his second year in the NBA this season, Jackson averaged 11.5 points in just more than 25 minutes.

MY NOTE: Remember how some people were wondering why Danny drafted Jaylen Brown instead of Josh Jackson?
If I was the police I'd try to do some drug tests on Jackson (I don't know how the law works as far as whether they need his permission to do that, now that he's in custody). Insisting on getting into a VIP section that you aren't cleared to enter is one thing, an over-exercised sense of entitlement perhaps, but trying to run away in handcuffs? That suggests impaired reasoning.
And what does it say that a 6'9" professional athlete couldn't outrun a cop or two? LOL.

Josh Jackson is the guy who allowed Danny Ainge and others from Celtics management to fly across the country to meet him. When they landed and turned their phones on, Danny got a text cancelling the meeting. This all happened days before the draft.
Many blamed this on his agent.
Now, JJ shows a serious lack of judgement and poor decision making. Maybe his lack of judgement and poor decision making isn't a new thing.

Drug tests come with erratic behavior, usually.

KJ,
Trying to run away AFTER being handcuffed and being a fairly famous and recognizable 6'9" hooper isn't "erratic behavior" enough?

You may recall the incident while he was in school involving a bar fight or something.
I would suggest that this was a dumb move on his part. Unless he had drugs on him the officer would have probably let him go free.

B. J. Armstrong was his agent involved with that terribly disrespectful treatment of Danny.
