Re: WHO YOU PICKING????????
Love that Curry actually got called for a foul for kicking his damn leg out....!!!! Made me sick all the times he got away with it and got to the line for years. Kawhi was in beast mode, carried his team with starting backcourt shooting pitiful, Ibaka stepped up. Amazing dominant playoff run by Kawhi....soo much fun watching GS lose.

Bruins dominated the Blues in the first period, yet came away down 2-0.
Damn Rookie goalie Binnington is playing like Ken Dryden!

This game is unbelievable. Man if they hit those missed free throws maybe they would be up more. Cousins looks slow out there, but he has done okay. Warriors are playing a rag tag lineup right now. Thompson and curry on the bench. Thompson not coming back in, knee injury. This will kill them

They won fair and square, but boy this has to be a kick in the teeth to GSW, Durant hurt, Thompson hurt. Looney hurt and not playing meaningful minutes
Congratulations to Kawhi Leonard, he shut everyone up with this win.

The Raptors won this battle but given the injuries sustained by GSW I have to put an asterisk beside this one.

I wouldn’t do that. Raps are a great, well rounded team. They could generate offense from many different spots. The Warriors greatest strength is their top scoring talent. In a 100 game season, bodies are worn down. It’s not surprising for them to have injuries and miss their best players. They didn’t have scorers or shooters to make up for it despite still having one of the NBAs best players on the floor.

Then you’d have to give asterisk’s almost every year, it always happens....dboss wrote:The Raptors won this battle but given the injuries sustained by GSW I have to put an asterisk beside this one.

Re: WHO YOU PICKING????????
Wow just read that Kawhi became the first player to lead a team to victory in a playoff run and lead all players in total points, rebounds and steals during that run since Larry Bird. Decent company....

True. But almost every year and it always happens are not the same things.

Re: WHO YOU PICKING????????
You then gotta give one to GS’s first championship, no Love and Kyrie, and Lebron had them up 2-1, before he ran out of gas, you could go all the way back to Hondo dislocating his shoulder and Tiny in 82....???dboss wrote:cowens/oldschool wrote:Then you’d have to give asterisk’s almost every year, it always happens....dboss wrote:The Raptors won this battle but given the injuries sustained by GSW I have to put an asterisk beside this one.

And don't forget Russell in 1958. I remember well the Celtic fan disappointment at not having Russell and Hondo (1974 ) on the floor - a bitter pill to swollow. For me it will alwys be a "what if moment"

Re: WHO YOU PICKING????????
KG getting hurt............never the same after that injury...........three years of possible championships gone by the wayside. But, no asterisk there, but I have to agree with Dboss
You do not lose the best player in the league, then the guy who is basically was carrying GSW
last night. I really felt for Thompson.
This does not take away from what Kwahi did, he was absolutely fantastic. Now the fun begins, are they going to be able to afford to keep him???? According to one sports show I was listening
to this morning has him on his way to LA
