NBA 2019-2020 Regular Season Schedule
I'm out of the loop on this. Does anyone know officially the release date of the above? I must be googling in all the wrong places but can't find anything definitive that states the actual date it will be release. I've seen the Christmas Schedule but nothing else and know it is looming. Thank you in advance!

Thank you Sinus. Maybe it's just me but they don't seem to make a formal announcement about it anywhere I can find. I'll look for it next week!

Thanks for posting the schedule.
The start of the season at Philly brings into focus immediately a matchup that will more than test our new frontcourt.
This beginning schedule (18 game through the end of November) includes 11 of 18 on the road. Along the way Boston will play against EC rivals, Sixers, Raptors and Bucks. A mid November 5 game road trip with games at GS, LAC and Denver will be exciting. Home and away matchups with the Nets completes the first 18 games.
This is a very tough schedule. 9 of the 18 games will be against teams that made the playoffs last year. This schedule puts into focus immediately the challenge of winning on the road and beating teams at or above .500.
There are only 2 B2B games in that group of 18 games.
It is hard to believe but we are less than 2 months from our first pre-season game on October, 6th

Now that we have the schedule, can we start planning a reunion date? Some game where we all get together for dinner and the game in Boston? How about Friday, March 20th vs. Toronto?

Re: NBA 2019-2020 Regular Season Schedule
So....now I want to give you your laugh for the day. Last night, after the schedule was released, there was a half hour show with Draper (ugh) Scal and Blakely. They talked all about the tough games the celtics would face, what games they could not wait to see, etc. Alot of foolish talk as usual, with Draper and Blakely pumping up Philly. They each talked about games they want to see, i.e. Scal falling all over LAL, Blakely of course picked Philly, and Draper.....said all the games. He then proceeded to say that could not wait for the night his boy, Terry Rozier comes back to Boston. He said That Rozier wanted a video of him in green!!!!!
Give me a break. They do that and any video they have done has lost any validity. This is the supidest thing I have ever heard. Judging that it came from Draper makes it seem more ridiculous. If it does happen, that is when I shut the tv off and wait fifteen minutes. How stupid a statement is this? Or am I just a TRO hater. He was dead serious

Re: NBA 2019-2020 Regular Season Schedule
October - 4 games starting 10/23. 2 home, 2 away, 4 games over 8 days, no game 10/31. Philly, Toronto, NYK and Milwaukee. 3 tough games (no Kawhi, but Lowry and Ibaka and others still will make for a tough game), at least 2 VERY tough. I'm more confident against Toronto than I have been in years, for obvious reasons, but I don't think they'll be pushovers. Games 2 & 3 vs Toronto and NYK is a b2b. If we have one thing going for us it's that Malcolm Brogdon is no longer with the Bucks. The bad news is that he just traveled south a bit to the Pacers and they are still EC rivals.
November - 14 games. 5 home, 8 away. 3-game road trip to Cleveland, Charlotte is a winnable road trip. GSW, Sacto, Phx, LAC, Denver is a tough road trip but we could win 2 (or even 3?) of them and that's not bad. Home games are NYK (win), Dallas (win), Washington (win), Sacto (win), Brooklyn (toss up). Might be a tough but acceptable November. Gets a lot of road games out of the way early. Sacto/Phx is a road b2b, games 2 & 3 of a 5 game road trip out west.
December - 13 games. 8 home, 5 away. We play Indy away, Philly @ home, Denver @ home and 2 vs Toronto. The rest of the month looks relatively easy. Indy/Philly is an away/home b2b. Ouch. Cleveland/Toronto is a rare home/home b2b.
January - 16 games. 9 home, 7 away. Tough games include Philly away, Bucks away, Lakers @ home, GSW @ home, Spurs at home. The b2bs are home/away Atlanta, Chicago; home/away San Antonio, Philly; home/away Detroit, Milwaukee. This might be our toughest month. That's 3 b2bs with the 2nd game, the away game, against a very good team in 2 of the b2bs. Zion on 1/11 in Boston and the 26th in Nwalins. Entertaining, but NOP doesn't scare me. Miami, Chicago, Washington and Detroit don't either. The tough games will be tough, VERY tough, but the easy ones should be easy. If we win the easy ones and steal one or two of the hard ones we'll be fine.
February - 12 games. 5 home, 7 away. Philly @ home (how many times do we play those suckers?), Houston away, Clippers @ home, Lakers and Portland away, Houston @ home. That's half the month and it's tough. Two games vs Atlanta will be needed for Ws. Portland and Utah on b2b road games will be very tough unless one of them sucks this year, and I doubt that.
March - 15 games. 7 home, 8 away. Brooklyn @ home, Milwaukee away, Toronto away, Brooklyn away, Portland @ home. Not bad. b2bs are home/away Brooklyn, Cleveland; away/home Milwaukee, Washington; away/away Toronto, Brooklyn. 3 b2bs in a month. That will be tiring for us. If we win the first Brooklyn game and we take Cleveland it will make it easier.
April - 8 games over 15 days. 5 home, 3 away. Milwaukee @ home. The rest are against Miami and Orlando and Detroit and teams that don't scare me BUT games 79 and 80 are away/away b2b Orlando, Miami.
13 b2bs. 13 is what I count. 26 out of 82 games are either the front end or the back end of b2bs. That's freaking ridiculous. The last month and a half of our 6 month season looks fairly easy but all those b2bs will make Brad heavily manage minutes. People hoping/expecting to see Jayson Tatum average 38mpg are going to be disappointed, I don't see Brad letting him log all those minutes with so much of the season clumped together in b2bs.

Re: NBA 2019-2020 Regular Season Schedule
Bob,
I am curious as to what other teams have for back to backs. Almost 1/3 of the Celtics games are involved in b2b games? The rest of the league better average over 10 b2bs or I am smelling a conspiracy.
I thought that starting the season earlier in October was supposed to eliminate the bulk of b2bs.

gyso,
Quick peeks at some of the projected marquis teams:
it looks like the Lakers have 12.
Philly has 13, with 8 before the end of January.
GSW has 11, 5 by end of November.
Milwaukee 12.
Brooklyn, 10.
LAC, 13. 7 by end of December
