60 game baseball season

I hope this isn't too far removed from the proper subject matter.( If so, mods please move it.) I hate it. The beauty of baseball, to me, is the ebb and flow of the season. I wonder what you folks think.

Nothing wrong with a little baseball! Besides, it's supposed to be baseball season.

60 games has the potential to leave top teams out of the playoffs. Get off to a slow start, as even eventual Series winners often have, and you're cooked. As much as I love baseball and want to see it played, late July is too late to start a baseball season.

In my book, it may be as bad an idea as re-starting the NBA season.
