Stevens gets extension

I understand not releasing the contract amount but it's weird that the article doesn't mention its duration.  We know he signed a 6 year contract when he came on board from Butler because they released that.  We know, 3 years into that contract, he signed a 6 year extension because they released that info too.  That was to convince Al Horford to sign with us.  I presume he was offered this extension because Jayson Tatum is up for an extension after this season, and Brad's longtime student Gordon Hayward has a contract decision coming up too.

Why can't they release the duration?  One would think that would be a free agent draw.  Weird.

Same thoughts here. They did say McMillan got a 1-year extension. That doesn't sound like there's too much confidence there in Indiana. Now if it were for $30 Million then that's another story altogether!

so , do I understand that Stevens was signed thru 2024 before this extension anyway?

well he is only 43 YO now anyway, might as well lock him until he turns 50 at least.
