Nuggets Upset Clippers

3 reasons

Nuggets two young studs are playing better than Clippers 2 OG's who do not have experience playing with either themselves or their teammates.  

Sniper Lou Williams seems to have lost his touch from deep so there goes that 3rd scorer.

Clippers do not have a good PG  (Pat Beverly is all about antics)  any comparisons between him and  Marcus Smart are grossly exaggerated and Reggie Jackson does not get enough run.

Addendum

Doc Rivers lacks the capacity and creativity to try something different.

The Clippers have the ability to put it all together in any game, but I do agree with your points.
The Clippers are getting very little from any of their guards or centers.
I expect that Denver will double team Kawhi often, to make someone else beat them.
Paul George is just as capable of going 5-19 as he is 12-19.
You just never know what you will get from PG13.
Marcus Smart is light years better than Beverly.
Beverly is a very good defensive player, but he's more of a foul prone antagonist.
Marcus is now quite dangerous offensively, while Beverly is not.
I think Denver will close out the Clippers tonight.

It is not easy bringing stars together and getting a title the same year.  But I also think coaching comes into play.  The Clippers simply have to contain either Murray or Jokic.  It is up to Doc Rivers to figure that out but he may not have the coaching ability to do something different.  If I was Doc I would focus on stopping Jokic.  He is obviously a great passer but he is killing it from deep as well so take away the 3.  His looks look way too wide open.  Or contain Murray  double team or have PG or KL check him.  Call Nick Nurse on the art of how to take the PG out of the game.

Clippers stinking up the joint, never saw a collapse like this, just got their first FG 7 minutes into the 4th quarter....terrible

The Clippers and Kawhi tried very hard to screw the Lakers in the offseason.
I guess karma is a bitch.
The Clippers will be watching the Lakers in the WCF.
To add salt to the Clippers wounds, besides all of the picks they owe OKC and the possible pick swaps, they don’t even have their 1st round pick this year due to the Morris trade at the deadline.
Also, Kawhi and PG are only under contract for next season.
The following season both have player options.

I saw this one coming.  There is a cost associated with an all out campaign to add elite players.  Doc signed an extension so unless the owner is ready to eat his contract or most of it, they are stuck.  Having 2 stars is great but basketball is a team game.

Coaching at a high level makes a big difference.  Being able to change up because you can play different ways with diverse players is another.

coming back down 3-1 in TWO series this year now, pretty damn impressive to me.

Lakers might have their hands full. either way this is a team you have to play the final games with to beat.

Kawhi and Paul George had a combined 24 points and 8 rebounds.
24 and 8. Interesting numbers. (Kobe).

Doc did a terrible job with the Clippers yet again.
Has any coach done less with more talent than Doc Rivers in his coaching career?
I thought losing to Houston in 2015 after being up 3-1 was bad.
That team had Blake Griffin, CP3, Deandre Jordan and JJ Redick in their primes.

This Clippers team had so little chemistry and heart.
Kawhi, George and Lou Will had 1 free throw attempt in 107 minutes.
What an embarrassment.

Jamal Murray and Jokic are dominant players.
I love Murray's game.
He's a great ball handler, great scorer and a very versatile scorer.

This is unbelievable, I am just floored that this could happen to a team so stocked with players. They went out of their way, got some wily veterans who should have helped carry them. Doc bears alot of responsibility here but he is not on the floor. Two huge superstars, dying to win a title, Boy did they blow it. This is disgusting, but....it is the bubble and this is the second upset, more coming???? who knows.

Definitely, Jokic is a beast a combo of poor mans version of Larry Bird, even slower and rebounds like Moses Malone. Never knew Jamal Muarry could reach these kind of heights, he was amazing and is dominant PG of future, his numbers were ridiculous, out of this world....

In the 2005-06 season the Lakers were a 7 seed and the Suns were a 2 seed.
The Lakers did not choke against the Suns.
They lost in the first round after they surprisingly won games 2-4.
That Lakers team was not a good team.
Kobe was the only player to average 15 ppg for the Lakers that season.

Well it shows a great player can have an off night in a game 7, Kobe was also going against a historic defense. Seeing how badly Kawhi, PG and Lou Williams looked bumbling and stumbling whole game reminded me of Kemba last night, but he wasn’t as bad....

I said that when the Celtics were out there before the "pandemic" hit. This is a very talented team. Jocic and Murray are great young players who have been overlooked. I am not sorry for the Clippers, they lost their eye on the prize and thought they were going to cake walk. Here's hoping our Celtics are looking at that and saying "damn, we better get our act together" this could happen to them

Bad coaching seems to be a theme on the board today. This collapse reinforces my belief that the Pierce-Garnett-Allen Celtics could have won more than won title of Doc were a better coach.
