This puzzles me, I thought they might trade him, but, is this some thing telling us that they are worried about the pg position and want to keep this kid around?

Even with Wanamaker gone, I do not see Edwards getting much more time with Boston than he did last season.  Walker, Smart and the new rookie are all ahead of him.

I am surprised both Waters and Tacko came back under two ways. I would have bet they both would have had full NBA offers somewhere.

The vet minimum for a guy with one year experience is consistent with what they got. ($1,549,812) That is one year guaranteed money. Not bad and it also give Boston control over their contract for another year. They get paid damn well for guys that will be G-leaguers for most of the season.
