West and Lasme out

Comcast is reporting (10:55 p.m. Wed Oct 20) that Mario West and Stephane Lasme are out and Von Wafer has made the roster.

I was surprised that Lasme was cut. Thought he would have provided insurance at the 3 spot and envisioned him being a defensive stopper. However the last few games we have seen why DA wanted Wafer. He can flat out shioot the rock from deep.

Well, we shall see if this VW over Lasme choice is the right one.
I thought Lasme fitted Celtics needs better by providing some insurance at 3, good defense and high energy. But, apparently long range shooting is the word of the day and VW is da man in that department.
I hope Doc and DA are right about it. Also, they may have some dealing-wheeling plans that VW fits much better than Lasme.

Think your last statement is spot on. Don't think are linup is set in stone quite yet. Anthough Lasme has some potential perhaps VW's value is much higher and therefore might have more potential future value to this team. Who knows for sure? Probably not even Danny but he's one heck of a pocker player to boot!
