MY NOTE:  I wasn't able to watch the game last night, I'm just looking at the boxscore and highlight films, so my opinions are strictly off of other fans' observations.



Huge blow for Boston with Williams out indefinitely

To be fair the Celtics have been on f***ing fire since Christmas. 9th - 1st.

I hope we crush them tonight.

Hopefully Tatum is out so we can just stick OG on Brown the whole game and force guys like Smart and White to make shots.

Celtics better bring a fire extinguisher in case Precious gets hot again!

Robert Williams causes us big problems and now he is most likely done for season.

Oh shoot, Robert Williams might have a tear in his knee. That will be HUGE if he's out for the rest of the season.

Bit of a tangent, but I hope Time Lord's knee isn't too bad. No love for the Celtics here but he's definitely a real one.

Hopefully the squad comes out hot tonight and puts these shorthanded Celtics away early.

RWIII's injury is very frustrating, the Celtics have been locking down teams..I was looking forward to seeing that defense against us as a pre-playoff test

Definitely wouldn't want to play Boston in the post-season, Siakam and Fred don't match up well against them

It's marcus smart on fred that worries me.

Losing Time Lord is a huge hit to their defense.

Boston is not gonna be the same after this injury, especially their defense. I think we could easily beat them now in the playoffs.

You have Smart making chess plays like forcing Nurse to challenge a call early to lose that at the end of game( there's an actual video of Smart talking about it).

I also hope we play safe vs them, they can be a dirty team; hope our team is ready for cheap shots.

I think it is easy to say that Celtics are done when they lose a seemingly vital piece, but really, Ime Udoka, who I see as the clear COY, has really got the whole team to buy in. Last game I watched I saw Derrick White go off in the second quarter and change the game, and Peyton Pritchard has found his stroke. They are all led by healthy and locked in trio of Tatum, Brown and Smart, but don't underestimate the role players.

They got Theis who is a very solid defender, a guy I was hoping Toronto would have got over Thad Young, but we cheaped out. He will eat up minutes at C for them, plus they have my favorite Grant Williams who is undersized but an excellent defender.

I actually think Derrick White is criminally underrated as an acquisition for them. He is Marcus Smart 2.0. Not a great shooter, but makes enough to be a threat. He is a grimy defender.

Don't get why people are complaining about Celtics missing their key guys... Basketball Gods are giving us a gift here. We need as many wins as possible, don't care how we get them.

I would not really take Boston lightly either way. They have a lot grit.

This is just setting up Smart hitting 10 threes against us. Don't like it.

No Tatum, Brown or Horford and Williams. Celtics are just going to let this one go because they don't want to be humiliated by the Raps so close to the playoffs--not with their best players on the court. Raps should win this one by 30 given the circumstances.

Celtics playing games here. They don't want to give anything away so they're holding their key guys out. Raps should counter by sitting Pascal, Fred and Scottie.

There is also a theory out there that Boston wants us to climb in the standings so they avoid having to face us in the first round due to both the level of competition against us as well as the vaccine mandate. I bet not a single team at the top of the standings wants to face us.

The Celtics are going to more or less pin the Nets (who could very well win out their remaining easy games) to no better than 7 by handing us a win.

with Rob Will out, I think they are the easiest first round opponent of the top 4.

Horfraud can stay out. With RW out I can still see him causing some major issues for our bigs.

how coincidental that both Tatum and Brown are in injury management right after they took first place and Nets had to drop half a game away from the 5th or 6th spot after that loss from Charlotte. Their chances of getting into the 6th spot got slimmer following that loss and increased the possibility of them in a play-in scenario….
