W
No one can sign him. He is already signed to a long term deal.
It will be very interesting to see what his preferred destinations are willing to give up.
The Nets have every right to play hardball.
I think Miami would have to give up at least Jimmy Butler. What else do they have since they cannot use Bam in a trade to the Nets?
The suns do not want to part with booker but he will be the guy that the nets want most.
I could actually see him returning to GS. GS could move Wiggins and Wiseman plus picks

Let that sink in a little.
Not because the Royal PITA threw away last season for idiotic reasons, etc., ect. but because they didn't arrive with the brinks truck for his little dip$hit buddy.
If true, that makes them even more so the Oddest Couple in the NBA.
I read somewhere that they offered him a new contract at the beginning of last season. I do not know the details.
Someone will trade for him but I think his reputation as a team busting idiot is starting to stick to him. Man, what a waste of talent.
Are you referring to Kevin Durant or Kiarrhea Irving?

Convoluted and mismatching players. Sorry
My comments about GS is related to KD. I could see him going back there.
Comments about an extension last season is ralated to KI

Re: Kevin maybe you should have stayed at GS
Two all stars and picks, that is what they want and will not make a trade unless they are ripping another team apart. Sorry, could not care less about Durant. The fact tat they thought they were going to waltz to a title, and the outcome, is more sickening than it is hilarious.
I am tired of spoiled players believing they were so far above their opponents. Move on little boys, Kyrie? You will never fine happiness, or probably another ring, Kevin you’re best days may be behind you. You are a great player, have a beautiful shot, but you should have stayed in Golden state. You would have had at least 4 titles.
Thanks for last year, it was fun. Watching Kyrie favorite; was such a rewarding experience

Re: Kevin maybe you should have stayed at GS
As great a player as he is and I believe he is still a top 3 player in this league,
Kevin has made some really bad decisions.
Leaving OKC was not one of them. It was time but going to GS right after getting his ass handed to him by that very same team was weak.
It was certainly his right and he did win 2 rings but most people feel that he hopped aboard the gravy train and that will never go away.
Going to Brooklyn and Hitching his wagon to the Psycho Irving was a poor decision. Leaving GS was one and hooking up with Irving was another.
Now after getting his ass handed to him again in a sweep by our C’s, he wants out of Brooklyn. Not a good look. Again, its his right but its a bad move especially when they do have a chance to compete this year if both stay aboard.
If he dare goes back to GS he will never live it down. As sensitive as he is, if he makes that move the noise will never go away and his legacy will certainly be tainted.
I believe Kevin has 3-4 good yrs left in him if he can stay healthy and every GM in the league should be inquiring about his services because that’s their job.
Personally I think he should stay put.

Re: Kevin maybe you should have stayed at GS
According to the trade machine on ESPN Wiggins and Wiseman works for salary matching purposes for KD. However Wiggins is in the same boat as Bam and Simmons. The Nets cannot trade for him. Teams are prevented from having more than one player on the team that were a traded for who signed a designated rookie extension.
Durant's preferred list of teams each have a guy that falls into that category as it relates to being included in a trade for Durant. Durant and his agent will need to cast a much wider net (no pun intended) That net is sure to entrap a few non-contending teams. As ktron suggests, maybe Durant should just stay in crooklyn.
Here's the full list of players currently on designated rookie extensions:
Bam Adebayo (Heat)
Devin Booker (Suns)
Luka Doncic (Mavericks)
Joel Embiid (Sixers)
De’Aaron Fox (Kings)
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Thunder)
Donovan Mitchell (Jazz)
Jamal Murray (Nuggets)
Michael Porter Jr. (Nuggets)
Ben Simmons (Nets)
Jayson Tatum (Celtics)
Karl-Anthony Towns (Timberwolves)
Andrew Wiggins (Warriors)
Trae Young (Hawks)
Details
Designated Rookie Scale Player Extension —
A “Designated Rookie Scale Player Extension” adds 5 new years to the player’s Rookie Scale Contract (for a total of 6 years when the remaining year is included). To sign this extension, the player must be a qualifying veteran free agent at the time his Rookie Scale Contract ends. Players signed under this rule must have a first year salary in the extended term of at least 25% of that year’s salary cap.
More details about the maximum player salary for these players are available here.
Example — The Philadelphia 76ers signed Joel Embiid to a Designated Rookie Scale Player Extension in October of 2017. The salary he’ll receive under that contract is discussed here.
No team may have more than two players under a Designated Rookie Scale Player Extension, and only one of these players may be acquired through a trade. (The latter rule around trades, which does not apply to veterans, is what prevented the Boston Celtics from trading for Anthony Davis at the 2018-19 trade deadline when they already had acquired Kyrie Irving through a trade.)

Re: Kevin maybe you should have stayed at GS
I don’t see any deal getting done for Twiggy, he’s going to be 34, is coming off a series he couldn’t get it done, couldn’t get out of the first round. Ainge pulled off another heist, getting 4 picks for Gobert, don’t see any team doing that for Twiggy. Why would any GM trade for an unhappy guy who argues with fans on social media and doesn’t honor contracts and will demand to leave on a whim? And a team is supposed to trust you? Trust works both ways, a KG, even a Gobert, who always plays hard; a GM can trust them, why would any GM, franchise trust Durant or Irving? Am I missing something? Kyrie leaves everyplace in shambles/taters and beats to a different drum, called it’s always about me, myself and I.

Re: Kevin maybe you should have stayed at GS
You are being too hard on Kyrie, a man who bears the burden of convincing the entire world that the Earth is flat.
Re: Kevin maybe you should have stayed at GS
Yeah, worcester, I have to agree with you re: Kryrie. He's a martyr. Oh wait, isn't the textbook definition of a martyr have imbedded in it the fact that you have to be DEAD first?!!
OK, I'm the moron now!! I'm just one of those people making the world go 'round!! NOOOOOW I feel better!!
It's time for Kryrie to hang up the sneaks permanently and ride off to Bolivia (Mike Tyson reference, there). Nobody cares what he has to say because it's absolute idiocy. Kryrie needs to lay off the Thai Stick. He acts just like my fraternity brothers in college being stoned to the Bejesus Belt. (OK, worcester, you're on your own for that reference!! Hint: "It's in the hole!!")

Re: Kevin maybe you should have stayed at GS
Think about this. If those dummies in Brooklyn hadn’t traded for Harden, they would have had a team that included - Durant, Irving, Joe Harris, Caris Levert, Jarrett Allen, Taurean Prince etc.
Word is is that Sean Marks didn't really want to do the deal but the owner forced him to. Now look at the mess they’re dealing with today. Poor babies. Unfortunately for Marks, the blame will forever be attached to his legacy.
So happy that we have a front office that doesn't knee jerk when it comes to adding talent.
Just proves that Talent alone doesn’t always equate to winning championships. If it was just Talent, Kentucky and John Calipari would probably have 6-7 championships as opposed to just one.

Chances Kyrie is not smoking lots of grass are as low as chances the Earth is actually flat.
Re: Kevin maybe you should have stayed at GS
