Here is a new feature: Links to NBA team local newspapers

This is a collection of newspapers local to other teams in the Eastern Conference of the NBA. It may not be complete, I plan to add new links as we go through the season.

If you wonder what the media from other teams in the NBA are saying about our Celtics, this is a good way to find out.

It can be found in the Links, Books, Media and Sam's Writings forum.

You will have to be more specific. I tried the first 3 and the last one and they work just fine.

On the semi-serious side, I didn't check them all, but I tried about a dozen or so, and they worked for me when using Firefox. About the only thing I noticed was that the Wall Street Journal link appeared to be missing.

Gyso, thanks for putting this together. I frequently scan newspaper web sites in various cities, and it's nice to have them listed in a single location. Yet another nice resource.

Thanks for checking out the links and your mention of Firefox. Information is good. I use IE7.

There is no link for the WSJ because they don't have a sports page. My little (very little) joke.

I plan to add the missing links as the games come along. If I missed a regional printed media outlet that may be considered to be inside the team's range, add it to this thread and I'll get it incorporated into the thread. An example of this is the Akron Beacon Journal.

I don't intend to include broadcast media outlet links at this time, there are too many.

I posted a response earlier, but it's not showing up for some reason. I had also commented on the fact that I chuckled at the all-to--appropriate association of the Wall Street Journal with the Knicks. Thanks for posting this thread. You sometimes post things in a matter of fact manner that belies the amount of required work.

took a bit but all of time to try them all but those links worked fine on Tug Hill. Indians didn't even bother them one bit.

Por Nada. It was small collection of links over a long period of time. I'm still collecting them, but there aren't many left to get.

FYI, your post (the missing one) was actually made in the new thread in the links forum.

When I click on the following I get this message: Links to NBA team local newspapers
Sorry, but only users granted special access can read topics in this forum.

When I click on the other link I get a different message: Links, Books, Media and Sam's Writings
The forum you selected does not exist.

Maybe I will ask the librarian why the links don't work on this computer...
