Oodles and oodles of stats.
Individual stats, of course, don't tell too much but team stats can and they have some good sortable stuff on that. Furthermore, there's some interesting stuff on shooting and passing that I haven't seen on other sites. For example, did you know that 11.7 of Rondo's assists are for 2pters and 3.2 are for 3s? Furthermore, did you know that 5.6 of those 11.7 assists for 2pts were "at the rim" (say "thank you", Shaq)?
Do you care?

Bob
I always considered a fellow that gets 10 assists and twenty points directly responsible for 40 of the teams points, never dawned on me to think an assist could be for a trey.
So another feather in RR hat! Actually I'd be willing to bet MOST of our three's are as a result of an assist.

Bob,
Thanks a bunch.
So, according to the stats for this season RR is on par with Lebron. What a bummer! I was going to propose to all RR's haters on BDC to trade RR + somebody for LJ. Now I understand that there is no point - the same result.

Bob,
Thanks for the link. Lots of extra stats to look at, including charges drawn. I thought Glen Davis would be high on that list, but he's down a bit at 0.4 per game. I was also surprised to see Monta Ellis high on the defensive plays (DEF) list, which is steals + charges + blocks. Who'da thunk it?

outside,
I played with this site a bit yesterday, but not a whole lot. They seem to have a nice array of categories like the DEF list you mentioned above. If there was some way of quantifying "shots intimidated" it would be even better but...
I'm glad to see SOMEBODY is keeping track of "charges drawn". As far as Glen Davis' ranking on that chart, what I did I ran my eyes up the list and looked for PF/C (same position), who played comparable minutes. There are a few that are better, but he's still doing well. I'm curious, and I think I'll contact the authors and ask them, whether these numbers are per game played, per minute played, per 40 minutes of play, etc? Obviously, Davis hasn't drawn a total season-to-date .4 charges, so his total is being divided by something.
Pau Gasol is on the ORR (Offensive Rebound Rate) list! He's pretty far down on the first page, but I didn't think he'd be that high up to be honest. Good for the Lakers to have someone that high up. We don't. Dan Gadzuric of GSW is #1, with 24.4. Finally, something nice to say about my #2 team.
