Jared Weiss: Rob Williams was asked if he could play in LA this week, said that he’s day to day. Keeps saying he’s day to day when asked when he can play. 9 mins ago – via Twitter JaredWeissNBA
Adam Himmelsbach: Rob Williams hinting now there’s a chance he could play vs Warriors. 9 mins ago – via Twitter AdamHimmelsbach
Adam Himmelsbach: Joe Mazzulla also couldn’t hold back a a smile when asked about Rob playing vs Warriors. Certainly sounds like if there are no setbacks he’ll be on the court against Golden State. 9 mins ago – via Twitter AdamHimmelsbach

We should find out by tommow if Rob has been activated.
The only way for him to get in game shape is to start playing in games.
We can expect minute restrictions.
Cow I do not care who he plays with. Before the season is complete we are likely to see over 100 5 man lineups.

I hear ya, some guys would poke holes in that line up, me I like Kornet and against Milwaukee they are big and will be going Portis Giannis Lopez big at some point, so why not experiment a little. Milwaukee in the playoffs will be a war. Will be an amazing dynamic, their bigs will bully our bigs and our guards and wings will bully their backcourt.

Sounds like it could be a Saturday morning superhero cartoon.
Maybe you’re on to something big here.

Re: The Time Lord is back!
Just for kicks dboss, depending upon whether order is important or not, the number of different 5-man line-ups looks like this: (We'll assume the order does matter first)
nPr = n!/(n-r)! where
n=15=number of players on the team
r=5=number of player in a starting line up
nPr=(15*14*.....*3*2*1)/(15-5)!=(15*14*13*12*11)=360,360 possible line-up permutations!
If order does matter, it's 360,360/5! or 360,360/120 = or 3003, much closer to your number but only accounting for about 3%! Regardless, CJ will have his hands full keeping track of all those different line-ups!!
Remember these numbers include the deep part of the bench #11-15. A much more realistic calculation would be just on players 1-10. But only if cowens/oldschool grants permission and is good with additional time after class will I go there!! But
OK, cowens/oldschool, probability and stats class is over for now!

Still "Out" on ESPN Injury Report as of this am but that was for 12/15. Today hasn't been updated.
This is like waiting for Christmas and Santa Claus!!

P.S. Again, all I want to see for the next month is dunk feeds from White, Smart, Brodgen even and someone buy him a Moss Tent. He's going to need one of those to go in the lane as he'll be camping out there with his fly swatter. And just trotting up and down the court. No jumping over 6 inches either. That's it.

Now that timelord and Al are back, who gets the rest of the minutes at the 5? Kudos to Luke Kornet for performing above expectations, but Blake has to get these minutes. Blake is tougher defensively, a better rebounder. A better all around athlete, and has more experience. It will be interesting to see what coach does.

I think it will be based on matchups. The luxury of having a deep rotation at center should pay dividends. From game to game we may see different guys in there.
Al has been logging 30+ mpg. Now the Celtics will not have to play him as much.
I think it will take several games to nail down our center rotation.
Will CJ go back to our 2big lineup?

Re: The Time Lord is back!
I think we may need to consider throwing the long-standing, never to be broken, ala Joe DiMaggio Laker streak into the conversation. This may be the only team since the early 2010's GSW that have a legit shot at toppling it starting tonight.

Yes, I agree. It sure is a nice problem to have. I can see Grant getting some time at the five also in some small ball lineups. I just hope Blake continues to get minutes. He did a nice job filling in these last few games. I was never a Blake Griffin fan, but he definitely showed he's got some heart and is a good teammate.

When they signed Blake I was pretty neutral about his ability to do anything.
He definitely helped us get through some tough games. I have always believed that adding a veteran or two into the mix is an ingredient for a championship ball club.
He has had more than a few dnp's but never complains. From everything I have been reading his teammates love him.
I think Kornet has helped also minus the 20 feet away from the shooter fake ass defense.
The Celtics have been the big dog in the neighborhood and now with Rob returning they can become even more ferocious.
Today marks 12 weeks from Rob's surgery. Apparently Time Lord is right on time.
