Clippers @ Celtics - Pregame Thoughts
The Celtics tip off tonight against the Clippers. It will be the last home game of the year before they embark on a road dominated schedule where 10 of their next 15 games will be on the road in January.
The Celtics lost bad to the Clippers back on December 12th so you should expect them to play at a higher level. The final score was 113-93. That's a 20 point blowout.
The Jays both had subpar games offensively. (20 points for JT and 21 for JB)
Leonard and George scored 25 and 26 points respectively.
Those are the two wing pairings that the Jays are often compared to. At this stage in their careers the Jays have caught up and passed them. They did not show it in the first meeting but the Jays will be well motivated to set the record straight tonight.
Other contributing factors in our loss to them was no Al Horford and as we know Rob was not ready to play. I think the playing field should be level this time around.
This is a big game for both teams. The Clippers are now 4th out West and have won their last 4 out of 5 games. However, their 0.3 differential has them on the edge of winning or losing.
The O/U is 228.5 and the Celtics are a -6.5 home favorites.
The Celtics will win this game tonight to wrap up 2022 with a league leading 26-10 record. Last December we ended the year at 17-19.
