Re: Jordan Walsh
My experience with African-American women patients who have alopecia is it often has stemmed from the use of caustic, hair-straightening products.

This is the first time the Celtics have used the new second-round exception that allows teams over the cap to sign second rounders to a 4 year deal with a team option on year 4, all without tapping into the MLE.

MY NOTE: So Walsh's contract does count as far as luxury taxes go, but are effectively viewed the same as if they were your own free agent that you have Bird Rights on. You can go over the cap to sign them. This explains, to me, a little bit of why Brad has stocked up on 2nd round picks. There's no fixed salary scale for them like there is for first round picks; and you can load up on more significant players, right up to the aprons, and then go over with these cheap 2nd rounders. Sign new free agents, then sign extensions with current roster players you have Bird Rights on and then these guys. They don't even cost the veterans minimum. Even if you're paying luxury tax on them you're paying less than for a veteran, and any veteran playing for the minimum doesn't have a lot left. If all you're looking for is #13 - #15, 4th (or even 5th) on the depth chart, it makes complete sense. And if this 2nd rounder plays himself up to higher than 13th, if they become a regular rotation player, you've got the steal of the draft. With the departure of Smart there is a definite need for a player with Jordan Walsh's skill sets and, therefore, he has a golden opportunity to become the steal of this draft.

Re: Jordan Walsh
Bob,
Second round picks that sign with the new exception start out with their salary based on a vet min with one or two seasons experience.
The vet min salary goes up for each season of experience in the league.
The second round pick exception 3 year contract starts out at the vet min, one season level.
The 4 year contract start out at the higher vet min, two season level.
It's a fixed scale. Less than first rounders.

Already I think he can defend 2-3’s, we haven’t seen him defending points, if he could cover 1’s which we will see at some point, this could get really good….
