Wow Zion Williamson literally pummeling the Clippers all over the place/paint. He is still playing, I believe he has never made it this late into the season before. Good for him and good for the game.

Ok, NOW everyone's jumping on the Clippers 1st round exit!! haha jk
Clippers have always been a 3-legged stool at a bar with the 2 somewhat OK legs and one REALLY bad, wobbly leg and the fat guy from the Guinness Book of World Records (circa 1970's edition) coming in for a beer and looking for a seat. I'm sticking with my earlier prediction. Out in the first round...mercilessly.

Re: Around The League 2023-2024 Season
GSW beat LAL in a wild one. AD out with an "eye contusion". The Lakers put out a statement that he had a "Corneal abrasion". He got elbowed by a Warrior and his eye shut after a second or two.
I've had a scratched cornea. It is ridiculously painful, worse than any fall or gash I've ever had. Based upon my personal experience you can't open your eyes because the friction of the inside of your eyelid on the cornea hurts like Hell. You can't even respond to light, so if you're in a dark room and someone turns on the light, if you squint a bit because there's now light, even without realizing it, that hurts. It's even hard to wear an eyepatch because what one eye does the other eye does as well. The effort to NOT let your injured eye move also hurts.
With this loss the Lakers fall behind GSW and are now in 10th place in the West. Fortunately for them they have a 3 game lead over #11 Houston with only 15 left.

Clippers say on ESPN with their recent skid that they have not identity. Oh, make no mistake. You have an identity. Among other things, you chose to bring Harden on. He is coming in strong now and helping lead this slide right into the playoffs. Things will not get better. 9/9/6 for Hard Head. George and Leonard showed up vs. Trae-less ATL. OMG!! I don't know if it is possible for LAC to fall into the play-in but that would paint the picture perfectly. Too many things would have to go down for that to happen but it's deserving. Again, out in the first round, maybe play-in. This is like taking candy from a baby.

I saw that game, Clippers had no fight, no fire. Have lost 4 out of last 5. Too bad, it is so hard to do what we are doing.

Re: Around The League 2023-2024 Season
I do not see LAC falling into the play-in round. The 4th seed is a great place for them to be. They are 4 games up on 7th place Dallas. NOLA (5th) and the Kings (6th) could still overtake them.
The Clippers have a lot of talent but due to age and a pattern of injuries to their top players around this time of year, it would be difficult to project them into a deep playoff run.
There are a mere 15 regular season games remaining. Both the bucks and Cavs have been buried. 10 and 11 games back. Can you believe how fast this season has gone by?
4 of our 6 remaining tough games will be at home (Bucks, OKC, Kings and Knicks) The OKC loss this weekend gave us a 6 game lead over them. Denver is coming on strong but they are still 7 games back. Of interest will be the 3 remaining games that Denver has to play vs. Minnesota. Just beat the crap out of each other. Is that too much to ask?

yes 5 in 7 days.
It really does not look that bad on paper as 4 of those 5 teams are not really competitive.
The Celtics will be in the ATL for 2 games next week (Mon 25th and Thurs 28th) That is really weird because they probably fly into Atlanta on Sunday and will be spending 5 days down here. I am sure that Jaylen Brown will like his extended visit home. I looked at getting 2 tickets for the Monday game. I found several in the $72 range but they are located outside of the arena, lol. Lower bowl ends $157-175 each and then left center and center and right center $175 - 557. Floor seats $1,000 - 2,317.
Me and my wife can watch both games at home and have it catered for less money. In many respects it is not so much about affordability. But the cost far exceeds the value.

I am fully confident that the Celtics will beat every team in the playoffs including Denver. They are smart enough to know certain players are really too good to shut down. The key to beating Denver and all other contenders is to play defense against everybody. Don't miss the forest for the trees.

Re: Around The League 2023-2024 Season
And you've already paid for those games at home with LP!! Plus, there is no guarantee you will experience a win for your team live! If you're going to spend all that money, at least guarantee a victory!!
Yeah, the NBA has just about priced out the live fan. Even if one has been fortunate enough to have accumulated some wealth here in the great old US of A, wealthy people are wealthy for a reason and paying those prices no matter how much of a fan does not compute in their financial strategies. You don't become wealthy by blowing it on things like that.
My wife always wants to buy me tickets for a Celtic game in Boston, and she's a penny pincher. It is one of those things where it's something she will/wants to do for me only because she loves me, but I can tell the execution of that idea pains her beyond that! I can't justify it other than it's just a bucket list item to see the Celtics play in Boston.

I would like to meet the genius that said that the Celtics have an easy schedule this month. This on the road for most of the month is awful. Luckily, even with injuries, we seem to be hitting their stride at the right time

These last two years have been tough on the old girl. First time in years I have not made it to at least two games I only sit in Loge seats, no Balccony for me prices are really crazy, I did try to buy two tickets to the Laker game, $1200.00 for 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NYCelt was saying that he had been trying to buy tickets to playoff games and the price was so high it was ridiculous Where does it stop, ?????????

Rosalie,
That's what a growing fan base and 9-figure contracts will do. You are so fortunate that you saw this franchise play and win in an era when money wasn't an issue. They played for the love of the game and for dominating the crapola out of every team they played but mostly the Lakers!! Heck, we drove Jerry West to the nut house by crushing him and his team's basketball spirit by beating them so many times. Now that's cold!!
But they figured it out. Both franchises have the same number of titles of which no one else will ever pass.

Yeah, we switched to YouTubeTV recently and LP was $50. Can't complain about that given we've been paying $199 for LP up until now. We had to straddle Fubo and Sling with the whole TNT/TBS debacle. YouTube had it all. Wound up saving $100/month on everything (TV and internet).

Re: Around The League 2023-2024 Season
Dbrown…..$6.00 a ticket for seasons tickets, and one plus one if we bought playoff tickets. Had a guy at the ticket booth before we started our seasons tickets, we would go in for every game, stand in line, buy tickets from the same guy. Got to playoffs, he saved us tickets for every game. It was a hoot. Those were the good old days. Not any more, i will always say, though, “being there is twice the fun” but television it is for me these days. Walking those stairs are a killer for me!!!!!!! Like I would spend that kind of money, sorry, no way!!
