Brogdon, Pritchard and our TPE would do it, salary wise I believe. Maybe add some picks...

Worcester

Did we get a TPE in the sign and trade of Grant Williams? If so, I think that would work. Yes, probably have to throw in at least one first round pick. You think Brogdon is unhappy now, can you imagine if they ever did this deal.

Yes. Just imagine how Brogdon would feel.

I thought we got a $5.5M TPE somewhere. Maybe Grant.

Worcester,

According to the ESPN Trade Machine that wouldn't work because we are over the tax line, so we can only take back 100% of the salary we send out.  Brogdon + Pritchard  + Grant's $6.2M TPE is about $33M and Jrue makes $36M

According to Sportrac we have additional TPE’s that would get us very close to Holiday’s salary. We could probably throw in another low cost player to match salaries. Question is would Brad do this? I think Holiday is a better all around player than Brogdon, but it’s not by much.

Jrue make $36,862,000 +/-

Brogdon $22,500,000
Payton $4,037,000
Luke $2,413,304
Dalano B 2,019,700
TPE = $6,200,000

This is do-able to get Jrue.
Total = $37,167,04

Celtics 17, Brogdon and Jrue are pretty close offensively. Brogdon a bit better, but Jrue is fierce on D and perhaps more durable. Is it worth also giving up Payton and Luke? Would the Blazers even want this deal? Aren't they looking for more front court help? They have young guards to develop up the Wazoo.

Worcester

I’m not sure it’s worth it. However, to have a defensive stopper to guard Dame in clutch time could be invaluable.

My thinking is…they don’t want Brogden, this would cost us DWhite. I am not sure I am ready to give him up. And, since Miami wasn’t giving Portland what they wanted, maybe they will not want to give Jrue up, with that new rookie they drafted needing mentoring by a good solid veteran

17,

You cannot combine TPEs.

Hi,
I'm not sure getting Holiday for Brogdon + picks is a good deal.

I’m sure teams were asking for him, and Brad already said no. With Smart gone White and Brogdon should flourish with more minutes as long as they can stay healthy. Smart will help Grizz, but as physical as he plays, plenty of good offensive players regularly torched him. Devin Booker, Steph Curry was Finals MVP against us.

Assuming we don't Jrue, D White will be our primary defender against Dame. I think he can do the job.

I do too Celtics 17. Also, we are good without Jrue, but he is tempting although not if it means trading away both the cow and the farm.

Sounds like Portland really stuck it to both Dame and Miami. According to a report I just read, he told them if he could not be traded to Miami then he would like to rescind his trade request. They told him there was no turning back. Then never talked to Miami after early July. Looks like there was no way Pat was winning this battle.
