The Hawks have a full hospital ward filled with injured players. They are hanging around in 10th place but are still 6 games up on 11th place nets. So I guess they will make a brief appearance in the Play in round.
Too bad they do not just concede instead of stealing more money from their deprived fans. Give them back their ticket money.
The Celtics look to be in good shape heading into tonight's game. Jrue is out while White and Tillman are questionable. IF White does not play, look for PP to start and for JB to move back down to the SG spot. The Celtics can wrap up the top seeding in the East with a win. The more difficult game could come on Thursday when familiarity breeds contempt. We gotta play those bums again.
CJ can continue to play Dr Frankenstein with his rotations. This is an exciting time of the year for our peasantry who rarely see court time.
Celtis sweep the litter under the rug while going 2-0.

The 2 game sweep will give the Celtics their 2nd 11 game win streak this year (2024)

Familiarity might breed contempt, but not if they're watching OKC and Denver stay close on their heels. Two Ws in The Big Peach would take our MN vs the West down to 3 regardless of what they do.
#10 Atlanta would play #9 Chicago. The winner plays the loser of Miami/Philly for the #8 playoff spot, who would then face us. I don't see Atlanta getting past Miami. Chicago? Sure, possible, especially if Trae goes completely nuts. Not probable, but possible. Philly? If Embiid isn't back there's another possibility, but not probability. Philly without Embiid is much easier to defend and attack and they've been in a non-stop swan dive since he had surgery.
The gap between #10 Atlanta and #7 Miami and #8 Philly is 7 1/2 games (it's 5 between Chicago and them). 7 1/2 games a big drop off. Not as big as the 25 games between us and them, but still very big. It's amazing that, by the time this season is over, we will be 1/3 of the entire season better than the #10 team in our Conference. Our lead over Atlanta will, no doubt, be 27 or more by the end and that's 1/3 of the season. There's an excellent chance we'll lap them.
This graphic is too big to fit on my screen, I don't know what you're seeing, but obviously the East's Play-In brackets look the exact same.

Well I fully expect 2 wins down here in ATL so 3 games remaining for the top spot is in full effect.
The fact of the matter is that no team is really close on their heels. Up 7 in the loss column with 11 games remaining ain't close. The Celtics have already blown away the field.

No chicken counting! But you are correct about ATL's Injury List! Dang!! That's awful. I'm tempted to begin looking ahead at Saturday @NOP. They will be waiting for us.
Unless IND blows a gasket, we're going to play either PHI or MIA in the 1st round, dboss's paycheck.
