Great win tonight. Looking forward to JT and PP finding their rhythm and stroke. Hopefully we won’t have a game 2 letdown Sunday. Let’s keep our feet on their throats, leave them gasping for air.

First off, AWESOME tribute to Bill Walton!  Amazing player and individual.  He would have loved what he would have seen last night.  So much so, he would have suited up.  

Well, I severely underestimated one thing.  KP's return and his impact.  Evidently, he just moved up into Al territory for who wants this Banner 18 the most.  Wow!  And he just keeps smiling, killing you softly.  Damn, people!!  That was brutal.  DAL had and has no answer for KP.  Players were glad to see him back and not missing a beat.  

Let's run through this.  Here's what I saw.

1.  I really have to go back and watch from when the score was 17-15 in the first.  It was a blur after that.  The key will be Lather.  Rinse.  Repeat.  

2.  Congratulations to Jason Kidd.  He got out of his players what he asked for in that halftime locker room clip.  They won the 3rd and 4th quarters!!  So much for your road streak.  We're definitely coming to DAL and will show you how that's done.  

3.  Kryrie needs to get up with KD.  I can't remember in that series whether Kryrie played at all but the whole Mavs team looked like KD did in our BKN series a couple of years ago.  Mavs not much smarter than a 5th grader/G-Leauger.  

4.  Second verse same as the first.  Everyone's bought into the narrative that the Mavs now have defense.  Yeah, that book is closed.  Same as it ever was.  

5.  Luka 1 assist.  That's what happens when your have 5 on-ball/on-player defenders.  We can each handle our own.  No dunk/layup rule in effect, DAL.    

6.  Love the way the fans responded.  Need to watch it again, though, just to be sure.  Boston fans, per Kryrie, didn't give him enough attention.  Perfect.  A narcissist THRIVES on attention.  Boston fans at the game Sunday, do not go overboard in regards to Kryrie's comment and your response.  He wants you to, because he feeds and thrives on attention.  If you want to be sitting on your hands the whole game Sunday, give him what he just asked for.  The crowd was great...FOR BOSTON.  No change there.  Thought the fans weren't loud enough, Kryrie?!  Just like DA Ant-Man ran his mouth, we all saw what happened there.  Do not give him what he wants.  Ignoring him will send Kryrie to the Jerry West Institution For Nut-Jobs and Finals Losers before going back to DAL for G3 & G4.  Trust me, I've been around a narcissist in a previous life.  First thing you want to do is punch them in the face.  Kryrie wants you to punch him in the face with more negative attention.  It's still attention and ask Ant-Man if you need anymore evidence of what not to do.  Don't poke his bear.  Relax and ignore.  Put all your energy into everything Boston does.     

7.  Lively not so lively.  Law of Averages.  And he still has a ways to go to get back to the mean.  As a matter of fact, he hasn't even started yet.  Should have fouled out in the 1st half.  Same with the rest of that group of lovable losers.    

8.  Per Elton John, the Bench is Back.  Doogie in particular.  

9.  DAL is going to say this was just a bad game and we'll bounce back in G2.  G2 will be all about the Celtics planting the unpinned hand grenade in their heads that G1 wasn't just a bad game.  G2 will be about Boston showing that DAL is a bad match-up vs. Boston.   

10.  When Boston doesn't fall for the double team except in certain circumstances that it will result in a high probability turnover, Luka has nowhere to throw the ball for an easy dunk/assist.  

11.  Be leery of the press/media.  They were calling this game a rout.  This was not a rout.  This was not a Memorial Day Massacre-like game.  The media wants Boston to remember series like that Laker series where we won the battle but lost the war.  Heard it last night.  DAL has been here before in the playoffs.  The Clippers.  Really??!!  That's where you want to hang your hat?!!  

12.  Coach Mazzulla took a huge lead in the head-to-head coach battle.  While it stands 1-0, this was more like 2-0 or 3-0.  Mazzulla is the smartest person in the room.  Make no mistake.    

Like no team we have seen before, this Boston team is making their mark.  JT is 3-0 on his promise to the home court fans.  One more to go on Sunday.  Loved the way JT & JB took over in the 3rd, quit 3-balling and drove to the hoop for baskets and fouls.  We still need to make FT's!!  68% is AWFUL!!!  Knock that crapola the HELL OFF!!

P.S.  DAL, just in case you missed it, we're passed the losing G2 BS.  So any thoughts of resurrecting those early round faux pas you can pack up and take back to DAL.  Or just see for yourself Sunday.  Expect more of the same of what you just saw come Sunday.  But I digress.  One game at a time.

Yes, defense does win championship. At least the first game of the finals.
Everybody in green played outstanding defense. Even the smallest player PP, despite his atrocious shooting, played great on D. He even managed to stop Luka a couple of times.
Mavs' plan to target AH and KP with Luka and KI didn't work.
Luka, of course, got his pound of flesh - 30 points and 10 rebounds - but he was severely limited in the assists. Only 1!

Now, the Celtics have to avoid shooting themselves in the foot. Keep doing what they've done in G1.
