In an ESPN review of the Most Valuable.Players thru the. Conference Finals, C’s had 2 in the top 5 (Tatum and DW) vs one for the Mav’s (guess), and 4 in the top 10 (add JB and Jrue). Kyrie’s addition gave the. Mav’s two. So that 4 Celtics and 2 Mav’s in the top10 for that span.

Coming in at 11 was Horford. The write-up added that “ It's easy to overlook Horford's importance for the Celtics, seeing as the 38-year-old averages under 10 points per game and will be bumped out of the starting lineup as soon as Kristaps Porziņģis is healthy enough to return to action..”
That’s what the seers expected. But that’s not what Coach did. Instead he had Horford out there with Porzingis fro at least a couple of runs.

Given how extremely well Al has been playing, maybe t shouldn’t have been a surprise. But it was.
