Celtics First 20 Games Prediction

OK.  Believe it or not this is only about the 2nd time I've done this in all these years!  As we get close to the start of the season, I was just curious what everyone is thinking on the above topic.  I've gone back and forth on this one.  Sometimes I feel a disturbance in the force.  But then I see us play in the pre-season and say what was I thinking!

Ditto, don’t know if the losses will be the same but 17-3 sounds about right.

I'm not feelin' it quite that strong.  I'm in for 15-5.  After that, though, the Lakers '72 33-game win streak is in jeopardy!!  "Bout time the team that should hold that record wraps that one up for eternity.

My heart of hearts wants to say 20-0. But, we know these guys too well. I am going with 16-4, there are a couple of tough games in there with teams gunning for us. Milwaukee being one, NY and Indy. That leaves a fourth as a throw in. I am not saying we will lose to those particular teams, but we are the hunted, so better be ready

Somewhat related, your odds for winning G1 just slightly improved.  Precious Achiuwa out 2-4 weeks with hamstring per ESPN.  I think he comes off the bench but pretty quickly.

I reset the total days of the poll to run to 24 days as an experiment, since I didn't know what to expect for results. It now says there are 17 days left, so it may have taken the poll's start date into account.

You and my wife are in the same category!  She wanted to say 20-0!  She may be right or at least would still be in the running.  I hope her original guess is right and the '72-73 Lakers are schvitzing heavily!

My 18-2 guesstimate is ambitious.

we actually need to go 16-2 with already having two wins. It will be tough given the B2b games at Charlotte, 2 games vs the Bucks, plus a home and away game vs the Bulls who are looking better .

Pretty amazing that the most pessimistic vote still has us winning 75% of our games = 61.5 games won in an 82 game season.

More amazing is that we surpassed that # last year for the whole season and were even better %-wise in the playoffs.
