They just announced it on Comcast. No Shaq, only Semi, Perk is ready and they need him, so, why not?? He certainly has been working out long enough, looks great, he is in fantastic shape. Hope it goes well, I can't imagine more than 10 - 15 minutes

If he does play, I'm sure Doc and the trainer will be watching him like a hawk. Cleveland's current center corps should be a good one to start with. Athletic enough to be challenging, but not all that tough.

A day after telling reporters there was no way Kendrick Perkins would see action tonight, Doc Rivers said the big man will return from his six-month absence against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Perkins tore his right anterior cruciate ligament during Game 6 of the NBA Finals and was expected to return in February, but his recovery has been ahead of schedule and team doctors told Rivers yesterday that he could play.

Perkins went through one last test with team doctor Brian McKeon after yesterday's practice, doing a series of exercises while McKeon, still dressed in his scrubs, watched.

"After the practice the doctors walked in and said they thought he should play," Rivers said.
"I don't mind changing my mind. He looks pretty good. That was the reason they thought he should give it a go."
