In my case, my boss makes me work all hours of the night to make up for time spent doing stuff like this ... which is another way of saying I'm self-employed.

Same here. I seldom retire before 3:00 am. Just look at the times on a lot of my posts. And what an advantage it is on European trips. Very little adaptation to local time. We stay out as late as we wish, sleep late into the morning, take a late afternoon/early evening nap, and eat around 9:00, which is the fashionable time over there.

Same here, which is why my assistant runs the show and I freely admit to having a boss that just doesn't get it.

You think all this posting is easy??

This is getting to be more frantic than instant messaging! I wish we could all save these posts for material when there's a lockout. I'm afraid the board will turn into something akin to facebook:

"Now I'm walking up the front steps."

"Now I'm unlocking the door."

"Now I have an urgent need to pee."

"Here I am in the bathroom."

"Oops, don't forget to unzip."

"Too late."

In about an hour (or probably 30 or 40 posts from now), I'm going to take a sabbatical and go see The Fighter.
