WHAT ABOUT LEON POWE?

Feb 12 F-C Leon Powe has missed the last 19 games after having right knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus. He's hopeful to be available to play on Sunday for the Wizards game. The Cavs are a bit anxious about the situation since Powe doesn't figure in their future plans. It wouldn't make sense for Powe to play instead of rookie F-C Samardo Samuels. The Cavs are reportedly trying to deal Powe. If they can't trade him, they could buy him out or waive him.

Feb 13 Powe (knee) was active for Sunday's game against Washington, but did not play.

I love the kid, love his bio even more, but he's got Bynum's knees and we don't need a 4.

Only problem is he's not a center.

He's played at 5 when he was with us. One of his best games was against LA game #2 2008 finals.

That was his LAST good game. 3 years ago. Since then, Big Baby has blossomed into a 6th man of the year candidate - and Leon is a footnote.

I like Leon as a person. As a player, I fear he is done. No thanks.

No move is better than a wrong move. BUT I haven't a clue as to who we should or can get. DA knows our health issues much better than we so I trust he'll do the right thing.....wether it turns out that way time will tell.

Trading or releasing ANYONE on the current roster for Leon Powe is a mistake.

Now if they can get Donte Jones or Shane Battier for Nate or Avery or even Luke...I think you do it. But not for Powe.

First Powe is not a trade candidate. You pick him up once released. Second we are talking center to sure up the injuries at center not power forward like Battier.

Although you would free-up a spot if you trades Luke and another player for Battier.
