I don't think Sam's gonna be too pleased with Erden and Harangody to Cleveland for a second round pick. Both have shown, with a little more seasoning, they could make a contribution to a winning organization. And Erden is a seven-footer for crissakes and agile seven-footers don't grow on trees.

Yeah, now that they got Nazr they're gonna trade Perkins back to us for Avery Bradley. Then I'll be ok with today's moves.

This might have been a great trade if we would have drafted DeAndre Jordan 3 years ago.

Perk just injured his OTHER knee last night, they just added a future All Star to the mix, and DA is clearly not done yet.
Dont see how you can make this statement at this point...sorry.

Re: Perk Trade Actuality!
They also sent Quis to Sacramento for cash. And, by the way, they also get a Clippers #1 pick n 2012 (top 10 protected) in the Okla. trade. Bottom line. Right now, they have three open spots on the roster. Chances are Murphy will wind up here. Stay tuned regarding the other two slots.

walked away long enuff for a shower and came back to seeif it was real..
in other news... we've also apparently traded Quis to sacremento and in addition to jeff green and Krystic we get the Clippers 2012 first in the deal for Perk..
http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/basketball/celtics/view/20110224source_celst_trade_perk_to_thunder/
while that 2012 first from the clippers could be very very valuble in '12 (hey its the clippers) im lost, somethign else is up.. we lost Perk-nate-Erdan-harongody-Quis ad gaine two guys... we've 3 spots to fill now....
Who fills them??

The injury to Perk's left knee was considered minor and was only supposed to keep him out for about three games. And with all the terrific small forwards in the league, remember to send me an email the day Jeff Green makes an all-star team.
Last year's Finals showed that we couldn't win a title without a healthy Perkins. Replacing him with pillow-soft Krstic is truly mystifying to me. I can't believe Danny has enough confidence that both O'Neals will be healthy throughout the playoffs (which still would not replace Perk's defensive toughness).

Re: Perk Trade Actuality!
As in all things on the surface most people don't like change. Before I say this is terrible I want to wait and see just how this bunch plays and with 3 openings the BUNCH isn't even together yet.
There are just so many things we don't know about that may have "forced" the issue a bit and we might never know them.
Just lets not rush to judgement to quickly on all this.

Jeff Green was an ALL NBA 1st Team Rookie.....if you are suggesting that he isnt an all star caliber player, you are all wet.
All the other stuff.....ASSUMES that DA is done dealing. I hope you are not suggesting that?

When does the trading deadline end?
It may make more sense after another deal or two.

Re: Perk Trade Actuality!
Don't panic everybody. I think one of the keys to this trade will be shoring up the PF position with Murphy. The Celtics realize that they do better when Glen Davis gets significant minutes at center. Krystic will play a lot outside, moving KG closer to the basket. I don't know who will start, and I don't care. I know who will finish. And,oh yeah, maybe Shaq will contribute. And, even if they add Murphy, Danny will have two slots available for who knows what?
They've just added dramatically to the bench with a legitimate tall three who will do a lot to cut Pierce's minutes and may even see some time at PF. The versatility continues.
Krystic is a much better offensive player than Perk. We'll see how well he sets picks. We still have our quarterback on defense, and a lot of defense lies in finding the right system. Maybe they'll play the help defense a little differently.
It ain't perfect, but it ain't disaster either.

Re: Perk Trade Actuality!
boy - you turn your back for a morning and all hell breaks loose !
since it's widely thought that Perk being out in Game 7 for the Trophy lost us the edge and the W in that game, i really really REALLY do not get this.
Jeff Green - nice. JG for Perk - not a bit nice !!!!!!!!!! and i really liked Erden, too. i can't even grasp that this has actually happened ...
i am going to the game tonight - and between the changes in Den and Bos i'm going to have to buy a PROGRAM !! if IT'S even up to date !! wondering who's going to show up for the Green Team ? Man ....
