Trivia today
Not real hard BUT
There are 7 players that have at least one of each of the following, Olympic Gold, An NCAA Championship and an NBA title?
Who are the 4 which completed this trifecta as a Celtic?

Re: Trivia today
Oops, looked it up, and I was wrong about Walton, who never played in the Olympics.
Beat, sorry to digress from your trivia topic, but I found an interesting article about it on ESPN (http://espn.go.com/classic/s/Classic_1972_usa_ussr_gold_medal_hoop.html). The Olympic team he would've played on was 1972, the year of the "loss" to the Soviets in Munich. Here's part of the article:
One player who was conspicuous by his absence from the 1972 U.S. team was the college player of the year, Bill Walton. The UCLA center declined an invitation to play in Munich, and the reasons varied.
"The doctor had advised him between seasons to really not play," said legendary UCLA head coach John Wooden. "Before every practice he soaked his knees for a half-hour, and he packed them with ice a half-hour after practice."
"Bill did not want to try out," said U.S. guard and current Washington Wizards head coach Doug Collins. "He would've played in the games but he didn't want to try out. Hank Iba was adamant that if you were going to be on the team, you were going to go through the process like everybody else."
Others attributed his decision to his intense opposition to the U.S.'s involvement in the Vietnam War, and Walton alluded to a disastrous experience playing for the United States during the 1970 World Championships in Yugoslavia.
"For the first time in my life, I was exposed to negative coaching and the berating of players and the foul language and the threatening of people who didn't perform," said Walton.

KC and Russ are OK but Tiny and Hondo are wrong.
Last hint one is an older player one not so old and NEITHER have their numbers retired.

Yes I am beat, for 38 (of my near) 48 years. And I have every intention of dying one! BTW, the other 3 players to accomplish that feat are Jerry Lucas, Michael Jordan and Majic Johnson. I am almost positive that Carmelo Anthony is the only player in the world who at this time is in line to join that distinguished group.

Re: Trivia today
Coming out of Syracuse I really thought he was a "Celtic type" of player, maturity beyond his years, leadership abilities and still developing but obviously apparent all-around game. While he has shown flashes of all-around ability as a pro I think that he has become a basketball oxymoron, one of the best players in the pros who has actually regressed since turning pro. Jim Boeheim's Carmelo I would love to have in Celtic green, Mike D'Antoni's, not so much.
