Re: Hello Celtic Fans
Duke, this is not just another forum for Celtics fans. It's the veritable Colosseum for Celtics fans, and the men in green are our gladiators. Last year we threw Le Bron to the lions for sport.

Re: Hello Celtic Fans
Welcome Duke. I just posted a lengthy welcome to Sara on her thread titled "Hello again". So to not repeat myself here I will just say; I started at BDC, I am a Lakers fan, and everyone here helps make up an outstanding forum to discuss basketball.
Seems weird for a Lakers Fan to welcome someone to a Celtics Forum. Sam, hope I am not out of line here.
Again Duke welcome to the forum and enjoy.

duke,
Sam, Jeb, myself and others had the pleasure of meeting MustangGator in SF on our 3rd annual Celtics playoff party (the first one was in NY, the second was in Boston). He's a really nice guy. I enjoyed hearing his lifestory and the story behind his ID.
MG's a Laker fan but he is definitely NOT a troll. He's just colorblind, poor bastard. The good news is that his son is a Celtic fan, so there's hope for the next generation. :-)

Re: Hello Celtic Fans
Bob,
Thanks for the compliment and yes Donald still pulls for the green team from Boston.
I even had Lasik eye surgery back in 2002 and I came away from that still seeing purple. Of course that was before I started posting with the likes of you, Sam, Jeb, Hooter, Beat, and......... Maybe if I had the surgery after, say 2008, I might have come away seeing green. Nah...............probably not.

Hey Mustang, what is your avatar?
Also, what does Donald think about the trade of Nate Robinson to Oklahoma City?

Re: Hello Celtic Fans
By the way, I changed my avatar to an old newspaper picture I had saved, showing Sam getting WAY up over Russ and Jerry West for a routine jumper. I had forgotten about Sam's leaping ability.

Sam,
Good evening sir. Beat hit it right on the nose. My Avatar is of Paul Bunyan and his blue Ox Babe.
I just got back from a two week vacation that took me to Portland Oregon to see my niece, east along the Columbia River, North to Coeur d'alene Lane/Hayden Lake Idaho to see my wife's aunt, west and north to Bellingham Washington for my Wife's family reunion, and finally south through Seattle, down the Oregon and Northern California Coast.
We took highway 101 south through Crecent City California. A little south of Crecent City is a tourist attraction called Trees of Mystery nestled around California Redwoods. At the Trees of Mystery, outside a visitor center/gift shop, was this really big statue of Paul Bunyan and Babe his blue Ox. I had seen it before when I was a very small child. I took some pictures. Why I made it my Avatar? Beats me. My previous Avatar was of a stop I made in New Mexico earlier this year. I just figured I would use some pics of recent places I have visited. I know, long answer. Sorry about that.
As far as Donald, he was part curious, part confused, and part upset that Nate was traded to OKC. As you may remember, he liked Nate because he went to the University of Washington. Donald's favorite college team in all sports is the Huskies of Washington. He was pulling for OKC last year in the playoffs because of Nate, but also because of Perk being an ex-Celtic. See, Donald still does bleed green, dam it!
