2011-12 Board Subscription Dues

I've delayed this announcement since October to make sure there would be a season. It's time to ask for payment of dues. However, before anyone barfs, read on because payment will be completely voluntary.

• If you wish to pay your annual dues of $15, you may do so in either of two ways. (1) Mail a $15 check payable to Sam's Celtics Forum to: Sam's Celtics Forum; P.O. Box 758; Wellfleet, MA 02667. (2) Make a $15 payment to Sam's Celtics Forum on PayPal, using the email address: SlipSamCelt@aol.com. At this writing, I'm not quite sure what use will be made of the money, but you may rest assured that every penny will go toward some benefit for members. Depending on how much is received, it could involve contests, parties, contributions of the type involving Jeb this past season, or some other contingency that arises.

• If you feel you can't pay your annual dues this season, you need not express any reason. Just don't pay them, and you'll still have all the benefits of full membership.

• Following Bob Heckler's suggestion of making a charitable donation rather than sending greeting cards, you may wish to pledge your $15 toward a charitable donation rather than paying your dues. That would be just fine with us.

In the case of one Hooter Rooter aka Matty, it is strongly suggested that you keep your $15 as a gift for your wedding, which I hope will lead to a wonderful, long life together.

sam i will have my dues sent in soon.. knowing how the dues have been used in the past its more like an honor to pay them than a responsibility. Consider it our wedding gift to our freinds.

Matty, I sure wish you'd keep it as a tiny wedding gift. I have full confidence that, if any contingency such as Jeb's situation were to emerge, the generosity of this board would react amply to a special appeal.

Thanks, Mrkleen. By the way, I want you to know that I'm still trying to get in touch with Jeb's wife to clarify her address. When I mailed the trophy, there was a huge mess concerning the correct address, and he received the trophy only through a stroke of luck. I couldn't find them by calling information. And, although I've tried something like four times to contact him, Jeb's friend who was informing me about Jeb's situation seems not to be using the same email address any longer. I WILL find the address. But I just wanted to give you a status report.
