GAME 1 REFS: DAN CRAWFORD, MALLOY, PHILLIPS

MIAMI -- Referee Ed Malloy has some history with the Celtics and the Heat. Malloy hit Paul Pierce with two technical fouls in the span of 59 seconds of Game 1 of their series last season, which led to Pierce's ejection. The first came on a double-technical following a hard foul from Miami's James Jones. The second came after Dwyane Wade barreled through a Pierce screen and Pierce responded by getting back in his face.

Malloy has been assigned to work Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals that begin Monday night along with Dan Crawford and Jason Phillips. Crawford was also the crew chief in last year's game.
