Greg Oden wants to play this year

After saying he wants to take a year off, Greg Oden is now telling his agent he wants to play.

Ok, so an oft-injured, ambivalent player who has never lived up to anywhere near his #1 draft pick potential shouldn't fire me up but there you have a ringside seat to the depths of my despair.

A legit 7' body with some NBA talent. That's all I want. I won't be giddy with excitement but at least I'll start sleeping again with a depth chart of KG/Oden/Melo. Sleeping like a baby, meaning I'll be waking up every 2 hours and crying, but at least I'll be sleeping.

as soon as i saw this on nba realgm, i raced over here wondering what ol Bob would say- if he had seen it....

all is as i expected...

actauly i still root for greg to make it, he's a buckeye.. and we sure did wanna see him in boston just a few yrs ago.

I'm feeling desperate. Not a good place to be.

Is Greg Oden, with his chronic foot problems, any worse than JON or Shaq? Granted, in their prime, either one was head and shoulders better than Oden, but they weren't here then. When they were here they were on their last legs. Literally.

I doubt he will ever be able to play..

Let him go to the Heat...he has bad knees and is prone to injuries because one leg is longer than the other.
