Howdy,
I want to thank each and every member of this forum for their support, both emotionally and financially! I received a money order today for $515.00. While this may not seem like much to most, it represents more than my average monthly earnings over the past ten years. It is very much appreciated! I will deposit into my savings account until I figure out how to blow it, uh, I mean, invest it wisely. Embarassed At this point I'm leaning towards buying an RV or trailer in the spring so that I can count on having a place to live. If any of you know of a great deal let me know.

I continue to progress in my recovery. This last set back has led to some good fortune. I have been offered a free apartment in a small 4plex. My friend was robbed twice so I am providing security. Unfortunately this has triggered my PTSD and what with the recent attack in Ct the past week has found me once again battling severe depression and anxiety as I feel that I am once again on guard duty, 24/7. The good news is that I am rebounding from this more quickly than before. I still don't have my own internet service but my new neighbor has given me access to his so I can at least keep up with things.

The Winter Solstice is the shortest day of the year. My ancestors used to burn bonfires through this night so that the sun would reappear and slowly start giving more light to the world. While the EPA may not approve of these large fires any more we can still join in. We can become the light of the world. Not through guvmint giveaways but by being the light of compassion as you have all done for me. Perhaps the next time you see a homeless person you could think of me and my struggles and give the person a smile, say hello, or otherwise acknowledge your brother or sister, not some derelict or refuse to be avoided, but as a human being deserving of such simple courtesy.

Thanking each and everyone of you so much!

Good news brother !!

Glad to hear things are going OK !

Things are ever so hectic with me, mom just had her eye surgery and my brother can't help any as he has issues of his own. His daughter has had major issues with her right foot with circulation problems for many years and she has 2 young ones at home to boot. Last summer Dr's removed her big toe and that seemed to help a little but the issues eventually returned and ultimately 2 days ago she had her right foot amutated. Brother has her kids so he has his hands full and I am left transporting mom around. Surgery went OK but she will never see very good even with it as she has macular degeneration in a quite advanced state.

And needless to say my caseload is going nuts, missing work for only a couple days and people are getting arrested left and right, I cannot keep up with it, local schools are having issues with kids and weapons and on and on and on. So guess we all have to deal with stuff and just hold on and do the best we can. Heck perhaps the Mayans were right after all........?????

Again glad to hear your on the upswing, now if we can get the C's on one too.

Bless you and have a great holiday season !!
