International,
This is a great message because, during a kind of "down" period for Celtics fans, you remind us of what a great game basketball is.
Thanks for posting this.

Sam ,I like your words about the reason to post those videos with basketball games in my country, and being honest with you that was not my idea of use them to motivate the fans but I am glad we can use them that way.My main goal when I was posting those videos was to show people and specially you my friends the quality of basketball that is playing in my country. As an ex player I ve been very proud of this league.Players like Shavlick Randorph,Garret Siler,Al Thorton,Josh Harelson,Mike Sweatney,Tractor Traylor,Rodney White and many other have been playing here and coaches like Phil Jackson,Red Holtzman.PJ Carlessimo,Bernie Bickestaff,Del Harris and others were coaches in our league.Did You see the videos? What do you think of our league?Three weeks ago Donte Green was cut by a local tam and then he was signed for the Menphis team for the playoff, last year Leon Powe was cut too.

International,
Looks like very entertaining basketball. One of those guys is a giant. (Sillar or something like that.) He must weigh at least 350.

Re: In my country basketball is #
Sam,That is Garret Siler .He played in the NBA with Phoenix and is playing in our league as an import player, each team is entitled to have 3 import players. He is 6-11 and 290.Last year 2 ex Celtics players played in our league,Leon Powe and Ricky Davis.Right Now our league is considered as the third best in the world behind the NBA and the league in Spain. Each night the lever of intensity is present and crowds of about 12,000 make a lot of noise. Can you believe that Phil Jackson was fired his second season in the league? This year are some newcomers with NCAA experience like Carlos Emory,Kevin Young,Chris Gaston,Jio Fontan,Mike Rosario and next year will be Shabass napier of Conneticut,Devon Collier of Oregon State and many players that are playing in the NCAA.In the past they were al loud to play in both league but now they have to end college in order to play here. They are Puerto rican descendants because we have around of 4 millions countrymen living in the states and 4 millions here in PR.

International,
Yes I can believe Phil Jackson was fired if he wasn't handed a team of all-stars at the beginning. I believe that, without that advantage, Phil was just about as good a coach as he was a basketball player—mediocre at best.
It's interesting that your league insists that players have to complete college I'm sure that raises their skill levels and their knowledge of the fundamentals of the game.
Years ago, between marriages, I went out with a girl from Puerto Rico. Besides being gorgeous, she talked a lot about the beauty of Puerto Rico (especially the rainforest) and the freedom of spirit the P.R. culture always gave her.

No, Sam our league does not have the rule that the players have to complete college. The rule was created by the NCAA and I think is unfair ,because in the past our best players played in both the ncaa and our summer league.Players like Alfred Butch Lee (who won a NCAA championship with Markette)played here in the summer. But now the new rule don't alloud college players to play here because here some players earn as much as 150,000 in 3 month of play.

Re: In my country basketball is #
International,
Okay, now I understand about the college rule.
I looked up a few reports on Ricky Ledo, and it was a shame that he didn't get to play for Providence. I guess he has had some personal difficulties that have interrupted his progression as a basketball player. But he's got great size for the SG position, and he can obviously fill it up.
Shooting guard will be complicated for the Celtics, as they will have Jason Terry, Courtney Lee, Avery Bradley, and Terrance Williams going into the post-season. But it might very well be that none of those four has the lights-out shooting potential of Ledo. Without having seen him play, I think he sounds a bit like a slightly shorter (but still growing) version Reggie Lewis. It would be interesting if, via the draft or invitation, Ricky were to attend the Celtics' training camp.
I looked up some scouting reports on him, and the most interesting was this one from Draft Xpress. I'm not sure when it was written.

Ricky Ledo, 6-6, Post-Grad, PG/SG/SF, South Kent, Committed to Providence
Joe Treutlein
One of the most naturally talented, highly skilled players at this event, Ricky Ledo
(#22 ESPN, #25 Scout, #8 Rivals) showed the good and bad of his game
this weekend, but clearly seems to have matured somewhat since the last
time we saw him, being focused and playing smart basketball most of the
time.
On the offensive end, Ledo is nothing short of a superb talent, as he's
an extremely potent scorer both attacking the basket and hitting
perimeter jumpers. He seems to have taken his jump shot to the next
level since we last saw him, as he hit an outstanding 9-for-17 threes in
the two games here this weekend. More impressive is that most of them
came pulling up off the dribble, where Ledo shows excellent balance,
clear cut NBA range, and the ability and confidence to hit a shot with a
hand in his face.
As a shot creator, Ledo has no problems getting separation and creating
both going to the rim and pulling up from mid or long range. He possess a
very low, controlled dribble with all the advanced dribbling he needs,
while showing good instincts as well. He won't blow you away with his
first step or vertical leap, being a more fluid and agile than highly
explosive athlete, but still has more than enough quickness to get by at
any level and also changes speeds and directions well.
Ledo does a good job finishing around the basket, showing great touch
and creativity while being capable of finishing with both lay-ups and
floaters as well as using either hand. He's also done a good job
developing his playmaking skills, showing an improved feel in this area
to take advantage of his excellent vision and passing abilities,
something that was frequently on display here on both drive-and-dishes
and drive-and-kicks. While not a pure point guard and probably best
suited to play the two guard in the long run given his scoring
abilities, Ledo reminds of O.J. Mayo with his unselfishness and versatility (while also being similar in size and athleticism, but not strength).
On the defensive end, things were somewhat of a mixed bag for Ledo, not
unlike what we observed the last time we saw him, but the highs were
much higher this time, as he showed multiple prolonged flashes of high
focus, high effort, and strong vocal leadership with his teammates. He's
capable of being a very good defender both on and off the ball, and
certainly is at times, but there are still times when he can get
frustrated and not put in the effort on this end of the court,
particularly when things aren't going well for him offensively.
Looking forward, Ledo is clearly headed in the right direction with his
development and appears to be making an effort to eliminate many of his
old habits, but considering his rough background, it's not something
that's going to happen overnight. Ledo transferred schools once again
this season, marking the nth time he's done so in his high school
career, and his poor body language and erratic decision-making do still
pop up from time to time. He'll certainly be a player to keep a close
eye on in college from day one, and if he continues maturing as a player
and person he's capable of being as strong a prospect as virtually any
guard in this class.
