Blakely: Bass is most logical next trade
Blakely: Bass most logical guy for C's next trade

Courtney Lee is off to the Grizzlies. But the Celtics certainly aren't done trading their players away this season as they continue to find ways to free cap space.
So, who's next?
Trenni Kusnierek sat down with Celtics Insider A. Sherrod Blakely to discuss who might be the next player out the door for the Celtics.
No, it's not Rajon Rondo. But according to Blakely, it's a player who has been around for a couple seasons.
"When you look at the way this roster is put together, Brandon Bass seems the most logical guy to be on his way out," Blakely said. "It has nothing to with performance, and everything to do with the fact that he's a guy that can get a talented player in return. Like a guy like Omer Asik in Houston. Even though Houston has put off talks of trading him, I think those talks will rekindle once we get closer to the deadline. You also have to look at a guy like Gerald Wallace, and another guy Kris Humphries who is starting to up his stock as well."

Noooo, not Bass.
I can understand Humphries, but Wallace has done nothing to make his $10M/year more attractive to other teams. Really, Blakely?

Re: Blakely: Bass is most logical next trade
It's difficult to see Boston giving up both Bass and Humphries, as that would ironically make them thin at their previously strongest position—power forward. It could be that Humphries' recent performances have made him a more desirable commodity than Bass for another team since (1) he's not undersized, (2) he's a walking double double, and (3) they could then decide either to re-sign him or let him walk and save a lot of cap money at the end of the season.
