They do brunch from 8-2 on Sunday. It is north of Boston, so it is on the way home, at least for me.

Sam, what was the name of the hotel that we has breakfast on Sunday that time I came down? That was a nice place, I think it was a little south of South Station, perhaps it was the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel. We had a little room just for us. If so, here is the link:

Gyso, I believe you're right—it was the Renaissance. It was very relaxing, and I still recall how much we enjoyed the conversation.
Just for the heck of it, I called them, and their dining room is undergoing renovation. They expect it to open some time in February, but I don't know how firm that expectation is. The person at the front desk didn't know whether or not they'd be offering a Sunday brunch, but she said they used to have a "continental brunch." I don't believe I'd rely on that place for this event.

112288,
Sally and I are up for going anywhere within reason for Sunday brunch.
The Tea House sounds nice as long as people know it's 25-30 miles north of Boston and well away from major highways except for Route 95 (which would be convenient for people from Maine). Anyone going south or west (for instance on the Mass Turnpike) to get home would have to retrace considerable ground from Wenham back toward Boston in order to reach their desired route.
There are also myriad places in Boston offering brunch. But we're up for almost anything, and the ambience of a tea house sounds interesting for a brunch.

Sam,
I think the mileage is a little off bit. It is exit 20+/- off of route 128, about 3 miles
MrKleen has been there with his wife and knows the place well. He can give us a better sense of it. I would have to retrace my self but it is only 25 +/- minutes from the TD Garden.

Thanks Sam,
The drive in no traffic is easy and I have done it in 30 minutes and less during the summer and fall so I expect very little in the way of traffic during February.
People have to ask themselves, how many times do we do this a year and get together with friends.

I will not have a car, so any brunch outside of Boston will probably not work for me.
I don't know what time I will be getting into Boston on 2/28. I will be available all day 3/1.
I am going back down to NY (I'm flying into JFK, taking a bus up to Boston, then bussing back) on Sunday.

It's official. I'll be there 3/1 with my older son to watch the game and kibbitz. Let me know where we'll be engaging in pre-game festivities.

Going to have to miss this one this time around.
The high school basketball tournament I help sponsor is that weekend so I can't get away. My son's youth team has been asked to play at the arena prior to the Sunday championship games so playing in front of several thousand spectators will be an added thrill. We'll still get in some big time hoops the next weekend, however, as Michael and I will be attending the biggest rivalry in basketball; Duke vs North Carolina at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
I haven't been able to spend much time here since football started in August, but hope to resume soon. It's been a challenging stretch, keeping each day booked with good and bad since summer. On the tough side, my dad got ill in early November and passed just before Christmas. Long days and nights running to the hospital and then hospice left no time for much relaxation. On the brighter side my son has evolved into a young triple threat, playing quarterback and linebacker, helping our football team reach the semi-finals, alternating at point and forward on his AAU basketball squad, and is already in winter workouts, working on his fastball and changeup for the travel baseball team he made. Of course, to keep the schedule insane, I couldn't leave it at coaching football and baseball. His basketball coach needed an assistant and the team plays as many as four games a weekend through March. So my breaks are few and my golf game is worse, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
I'll make an effort to post more soon, but we'll miss seeing everyone this time around. We'll look forward to seeing some pictures!
Regards

Enjoy him while he is young, active and a joy to watch. For many years we ran from gym to gym with my son as he played basketball, and from studio to studio as my daughter danced fro 17 Yeats! Exhausting, but great to look back on.
It just so happens that this hasn't been an exciting year to follow the Celts, but we miss seeing you here. Beat knows where you are coming from!
Take care
