Davis on crutches; Rondo getting treated

OAKLAND, Calif. — Glen Davis just came back into the dressing room on crutches.

He had an X-ray and the Warrior physician diagnosed a sprained right ankle. It is almost certain Davis will not be able to play in the trip finale in Phoenix Wednesday night.

The injury occurred two minutes into the fourth quarter when Davis pulled down an offensive rebound in traffic and Warrior Ronny Turiaf fell on him.

“I can’t walk,” said a very dejected Davis, who just played in his third game of the season after coming back from a fractured right thumb. “So I can’t run. I can’t play. … Hopefully I’ll be back in a couple of days.” …

Rajon Rondo is in the trainer’s room right now getting treatment on his left hamstring. He injured it Sunday night against the Clippers and tweaked it again in the first quarter tonight.

Rondo still went on to 30 points and 15 assists in 46:15. Each stat was two away from his career-high.

Geeze that is scary. I am one member of this board that feels and has felt we need a backup point guard.

I am glad it is JUST a sprain with BBD and really troubled by the hamstring injury Rondo is dealing with. Hamstings can be trouble. Rondo relies on quickness. Not good. He should be seated for a while until it heals and I dont care if we lose 8 inna row. Not something to be messed with. We need Rajon healthy and strong.
