Don't they have emergency brakes on that runaway train?

So, all 3 have opted out. Also Udonis Haslem has opted out, but he's hoping to remain in Miami. Less money/year but more years = security.

well, if everyone opts out, could we see that Melo to the Heat idea happen. that'd be very annoying

It would be kind of fun to see Lebron going up against a nightly menu of power forwards rather than small forwards. His agility would almost certainly give him an advantage, but their relative brawn might shorten his career by a year or two and his games played each season by a significant number.

I doubt they'd have that much financial flexibility. It's being reported Lebron wants a max contract with the Heat.
