From Miami Heat boards:

This sucks, I just hope we can bring back CB, we would still be competitive in the East.

No time for Riles to cry though...this shit is going to go down quick

Mr. Oil Slick doesn't know how to cry

Back to mediocrity. Was fun few years while it lasted, folks

I wanna die

Wonder if the BOOS in the ECF sent him packing. Some thing to consider with the next elite player.

Back to the good old days of watching Lebron lose repeatedly in the playoffs with that garbage club. He will never win a championship again.

Cleveland forum will blow up with new fans in 3...2...1.

Please don't leave us too Bosh...

It's pretty much all over. We're not contenders anymore. Bosh is going to Houston where he has a better shot at winning a ring.

Pretty tough from Contender to zero.... We are new old cavs now lol

I think I'll wait until tomorrow before I drop bombs on Wade's head for being such a moron about the way he handled this situation for the past 4 years.

ohhh man we still have Spo duo.. ***

End of an era. Well, it was fun while it lasted. Wade’s still my boy though, hope we can field a competitive team around him next year.

The Heat fan base just dropped 80%…

I NEED a F***ING SHRINK RITE NOW!!!!!!!!11 THIS IS TOO MUCH FOR ME

WELL at least we have a lot of cap space…….

I feel bad for the Heat season ticket holders who I imagine have had to pay for next seasons tickets already at what I imagine are very high prices.

How do you react to this if you're a Cavs fan? Having him back transforms the franchise…but it will take a long time and quite a bit of work to undo all the damage done in between.

I don't know about damage But non stop lottery picks have left them in pretty good shape

I hope the bandwagon fans and Cavs fans that shitted on LeBron have to deal with the same trolling that we did. If you treated him that way when he left, you don’t deserve him back

What exactly do they need to forgive him for? Cavs fan base makes me sick. The way they treated him is disgusting. Seems more he’s forgiven them by coming back.

Lol. The second time around is better . King James is chasing rings and is bought and paid for by Niki . Niki will write the script until he retires . Niki trumps anything else . Anything . Riley was and will always been just a pawn . He ran out of usefulness . The money and power is in Ohio now . The Heat lost out when they couldn’t sign big names in Lowry , Gortat etc . They couldn’t restock . The Cavs will restock . They couldn’t get anybody to cone there back in 2010 and that’s the sole reason he left . If they get stuck , he will leave again . It’s good for the league , James , his family and Niki . Niki will start it all over again w the next best player on the planet . Nothing will change . When he signed that first 90 m contract yrs ago w Niki , he was bought and paid for . Nothing’s changed . Give me 90 m . Y’all too . We will do the same . ESP when Niki didn't get the return on its money and this was the only way . Until there’s a better business model , get used to it .

Are you trying to say "Nike?"

The McRoberts/Granger era has begun.

And Wade opted out of $42MIL ... He must be pissed.

Wade won't lose a dime . He's not that stupid . It was probably conditional .

The home games in Miami are gonna be empty.

Saw a lot of empty seats even wt LBJ there and booing him off the court in the Finals well .... That was dumb.

If by some sort of Riles miracle, he can convince CB to come and Ariza/Deng to come we still might make the East Finals, assuming he gets real quality depth. That’s how bad the east is and how open its become with LBJ’s departure.

I could see winning the East if all that happened I don’t think Cleveland will be that good this year.

You will be missed LBJ, thank you for your 4 year sacrifice, and I hope your first love treats you with the same love as your second did.

Sacrifice? He made millions of dollars, won two rings, and got out of Cleveland for four years (no offense to anyone from Cleveland). Where do I sign up for that kind of sacrifice?

One thing's for sure: we need to bottom out. Next year's draft is supposed to be deep.

Miami lost a player, at least you didn't lose a team like Seattle did. Miami can rebuild as there are some solid free agents still out on the market. May not make it to the championship, but enough to contend in the East.

Miami welcome to the tankathon 2015

Lebron Probably Just Costed Himself 1 Or 2 Titles

I feel so bad for Wade. 40 million dollars! I would hate Lebron if I was Wade

WHo needs Lebron if we have SPO & Riley... Wink

Lebron is going to attract bad karma to himself. You would think he would've learned from his mistake the first time. He blindsided the HEAT. After all the good they did for his career. The same pattern. He believe in treating people like trash because he wasn't man enough to look them in the face and tell the truth about his true intentions. He waited until the last hour. He basically tried to sabotage the organization that bought him his first ring. SMH In 2010 I remember reading comments from people that said he'd do the same thing again and I didn't believe them. I'm fine with being gone but I'm not going to accept the way he treated people who help him get a ring. Low class and ruthless behavior.

Also, Miami is still a contender with Wade and Bosh. Y'all gonna see how good Bosh really is. Edit: Plus we getting Melo!

I am sure the fair weather bandwagon will now slowly disapper

I wish him great health and nothing but the worst otherwise Would love to see his teams fail and do so spectacularly bad fashion in Cleveland. See the pressure mount in ways that will be unimaginable only to see him come up short again and again.

Let Bosh sign for $22MM per year on some other team I love Bosh, but good grief is that over payment for a 6’11 shooting guard that is 30.

He was relegated to a “SG” because the lane had to be open for LBJ and Wade to drive, CB is very much a max player, especially when you look at all his games he has played without LBJ and Wade during the 4 year Big 3 run. Perfect example, Portland game where he dominated.

It’s got me worried Riley overreacts to this. Season ticket sales will plummet regardless of Wade being on the team or not.

Heat were Champions b4 Lebron and will be champions after Thanks for your time, we aint mad

The Heat have what a lot of other teams do not Money and Class.

Two things: Lebron is a head case. This past year was the most boring season since the 15 win debacle.

The 2006 Championship was much more exciting. Wade carrying the team that was thrown together that year and that was only so-so during the reg season. Antoine freaking Walker even contributed to that Championship.

I doubt I’ll ever wear LeBron gear again, but giving this stuff to charity seems a much cooler route than burning it He’s a great player. Plays for another team. I hope he does poorly there.

How could LBJ join the Cavs without meeting the rookie coach? Or the GM (who is the GM? They only talk about Gilbert) On top of it, its now seeming like the article was written weeks ago. Meaning, LBJ knew his decision a while back. If so, then why did he wait so long. It only crippled the Heat potential assets in the FA market. While everyone is praising him on a ‘good’ decision – he sabotaged a team in Miami in the process. Perhaps, to prevent Riley from making some creative moves with tons of salary cap.

All I know is his hairline guy is in Miami... Whats he gonna do now? Bet he didn't think of that

His hairline guy was his headband lol.

I'm excited for the future, D-Wade is the man! We won before lebron, with lebron, and will after lebron.

I just saw on CNN, the EPA, ( Environmental Protection Agency ).has decided that for the good of humanity they will have to Flush Cleveland. I am sorry for Cleveander's, but there is tremendous fewwar that the river is going to catch on fire again, from all the waste dumped into it. Like Jokim Noah said, "Who wants to go to Cleveland for vacation?"

I am THOROUGHLY disappointed in this decision. OBVIOUSLY the Heat needed some bench help but not all that much. My goodness, the Heat made it to 4 STRAIGHT FINALS with the nucleus of this team. I actually feel like evil has triumphed.

I just saw Brian Windhorshit on ESPN, and I realized how fortunate all of South Florida will be when he goes back to that ****hole in Ohio.

MAX DWADE ASAP!!!! Dwade been here from day 1. He deserves it for wasting his prime being lebrons side kick. Let's make up for lost time and give him a max deal (since we are in rebuilding mode anyways).
If we lose him to Chicago I will be totally heart broken. I honestly don't even care about lebron.

Just imagine a Heat-Cavs playoffs series!?!

Can't wait until Kyrie injures his knee midway thorough the season and Wiggins turns out to be a bust and he comes crawling back here after 2 years.

I figure that Lebron has at least six decent years left in the tank. If he plays his cards right during that period, he can alienate fans in three more NBA cities by being the anti-loyalist.

LeBron has definitely matured.
I am glad to hear that he is not guaranteeing any championships now.
He has handled himself very classy this time in this free agency.
It's good to see him going back home.

Agreed.

He's come a long way from "The Decision", and even that was far more ESPN's doing than his.

LeBron will always be one of those players people love to root against, and that has been the norm in almost every sport for some of the best players in each generation.  Envy, for the most part, is the driver behind that one.

James has done nothing more, or less, than elevate the teams he has played for while keeping his nose clean while under the tightest scrutiny possible.

He's going to be the focal point of a good and improving Cleveland lineup.  If he can help them get back to the finals and win one, he will likely cement his legacy somewhere among the top five greatest players in NBA history.

tj and nycelt,

Also agreed. Good not to guarantee any championships especially since it doesn't depend on him. He's a huge contributing factor, but winning an NBA Championship clearly doesn't depend on one person no matter how great they are.

My issues are how much Dan Gilbert has grown up since the Decision. Is he going to help LeBron this time like Pat Reilly did by surrounding him the best talent and players to win a championship in Cleveland? I'm actually going to go out on the proverbial limb and say Cleveland will finally have a modern day world championship. The Boston Red Sox ended the curse of the Bambino after 84 years, why not Cleveland? Unfortunately for the Browns, Johnny Football is going to get crushed and add to the misery. LeBron is clearly the only hope.

LeBron has grown on me if you look back on my rants here over the years. You are right NYCelt, he will retire as one of the top 5 of all time.

dbrown,

I think you're right; it's going to go far better for LeBron than for Johnny Football.  Manziel and the Browns have ugly written all over them.
