Evan Turner has received interest from Boston and Minnesota, a source told ESPN.

With 17 players under contract we'd have to cut at least 2 non-guaranteed ones (Pressey, Johnson, Babb) to do this without a sign-and-trade.
How about we focus on Hibbert instead of Turner, Danny?
Wallace will be 32 years old this month and is coming back from surgery, so who knows how good he'll be. Even if Jeff Green stays on the roster, that leaves Chris Johnson at backup 3. Turner would be more expensive than Johnson but I think he'd be an upgrade although I'm not as high on him as others might be. In fact, quite frankly, I think his head is over-inflated because he was a #2 pick. So was Michael Beasley, Evan, so was Michael Beasley.

I swear, Danny is all over the map this year. Not only is he touching every base he's running around the outfield kicking all the tufts of grass. I didn't see the Zeller trade coming, I thought we'd be a lock for Asik when Morey came to his senses and lowered his demands. I just don't know anymore. I give up. That's why he's Trader Danny and I'm just another guy posting on a sports board.

Re: Celtics Interested In Evan Turner
Turner has always been a SG more than a SF to me.
but lets review:
SF- Green
SF- Wallace
SF/SG- Young
SF/SG- Johnson
SG- Bradley
SG- Babb
SG/PG- Smart
did I forget anyone?
if not, for a cheap 1-2 year deal Turner could be anice signing I suppose.
But I would think he is looking for at least the mid-level $5M range.
we could do that and stay just under the luxury line.
now to get Hibbert we'd need to incldue Rondo in any trade, IMO.

Re: Celtics Interested In Evan Turner
thanks Bob I knew I was light at guard there.
with Thornton in the mix I can't see any reason why Danny would be looking at Turner.
unless other moves are in the works as well, that is.

Re: Celtics Interested In Evan Turner
Neither Thornton nor Turner has strong defensive skills. That's why Avery would be likely to play more minutes than either of them.
