Kobe to the Knicks?
http://www.ibtimes.com/lakers-trade-rumors-kobe-knicks-las-season-trouble-reuniting-fisher-phil-new-york-may-1717407
I have no idea what this website is, but the idea does make some sense for both teams.
Kobe and Anthony would make NY a contender in the East (that's the best Kobe could hope for his last two years).
The Knicks have Stoudamire and his $20M expiring deal to send back (along with maybe Shumpert or Hardaway).
The lakers can tank with Phily for the year then.

I hope the Lakers make the offer to Kobe to trade him to a playoff contender.
He is going to get extremely frustrated being on a probable 15 win team.

Re: Kobe to the Knicks?
Sounds like a perfect storm in Stephen A's imagination -- Kobe AND the Knicks.
I doubt anything will happen. The way I see it, Kobe is the only draw the Lakers have during these lost seasons, the only thing of value they can provide to justify all the revenue.
The notion of sending him off to a contender has some logic to it, but the Knicks aren't a contender and they don't have assets to give in return. The whole idea of a trade like this making sense is for the team acquiring Kobe to give up longer-term assets -- young players and/or draft picks -- in exchange for the opportunity to win now. You can throw in some toxic contracts like Stoudemire, but it can't be a straight giveaway to the team receiving Kobe. A great example is the Nets-Celtics deal for KG and Pierce. Boston took on Wallace's onerous contract, but what made it worthwhile to the Celtics is a boatload of draft picks.

Kobe would be a perfect fit in NY. I hope it happens but as others have mentioned the Knicks do not have the assets to offer LA fair compensation.
However there is one factor that should not be overlooked and that factor is Phil's relationship with Jeanie.

Re: Kobe to the Knicks?
Maybe Phil will send a new Kobe style ring over in the deal?
the webs link did say future draft picks going to LA of course.
but really...what is an aging $24M/year player worth in the open market?
LA gets out of Kobe's final BAD year , Shumpert and a couple future draft picks?...that sounds like to good deal for LA right now.

Easier way to "TANK" and not be chastised for it. Would Kobe even say yes to something like this? I assume he has a no trade contract. It makes sense, just like Pierce and Garnett. Losing will get very tiring to Kobe.

Are the Knicks gonna petition the NBA so they can use 2 balls for their games?

Re: Kobe to the Knicks?
This means Rondo will be traded. Rondo to the Knicks for Kobe. There, Stephen A gets a two-fer.
Where's my mouthwash, I just threw up in my mouth when I typed that.
